Elkview | Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Charleston

This place is very unorganized, they’ve messed up my order several times and I’ve never said a word. This last time I ordered from there, (mind you I’m paying about $70-80 everytime I go because of family size) they sent us home with someone else’s order we ordered once again $70-80 worth of food and they sent us home with 3 bowels of soup and a couple containers of white rice That no one in my family would even eat… I called in for the first time ever to explain what had happened they told me they would credit my account! Well low and behold when I called in to place another order and use the credit they somehow couldn’t find the account..how ironic and instead of fixing the situation they wanted to argue with me like it was my fault and wanted me to repeat the order that I had got and when I mentioned the fact I got chicken wings she said we don’t even make those anymore so that’s why you didn’t get those and I was like well I’m sorry this happened before you stopped making chicken wings, but I have does that have to do with it now even counting the fact most people don’t know exactly what they ordered but I do because we get the same thing everytime and spend the exact amount of money! Now with that being said I know I’m just one small fish in this great big pond but that will be the last time I’ll ever order from them and we were ordering once a month and that is $840 a year not counting the tips I left so I’m sorry to say but you won’t get my money ever again and from now on we’ll go to Main Kwong ! One last thing I’d like to mention the girl that answered the phone was definitely not a china native and I bet they wouldn’t ever have let that happen considering what happened!! Mediocre food, premium price and absolute garbage service, Ordered 89$ worth of food to go, bags are stapled shut and I am assured everything is there, not only were utensils missing but so was the sauce. This alone is understandable and really is no cause for issue, but upon calling them and informing them of the mistake we were told it was our fault for not checking the bags and that we could drive back to pickup the sauce, not an apology or voucher issued. Don’t waste your money here, drive into town and buy something decent for half the price and stop letting this business scam you! Normally I do buffets, because of the variety that you get for the money but I will say this for takeout only, Elkview Chinese restaurant is one of the best I've eaten that in a long time.. after living in several states and moving to West Virginia there's only a few places that I like to take out and this one not only gets five stars but 50 more on top of it for the great food that I just devoured.. keep it up.. and I recommend anybody that gets a chance to stop there call ahead they have a menu online and 20 minutes and you'll have one of the best feasts ever..
