Update: I am super excited to report that their Deep-Fried Ice Cream is made individually by hand, on site. They top it with whatever you want. We chose honey, cinnamon and whipped cream. A dream come true! Original: We sampled the burrito deluxe and the burrito special with beef and chicken burritos topped with lettuce, cheese and sour cream and tomatoes. It was all delicious. The salsa and chips as well as the cheese dip were great as starters. What really was surprising and excellent were the Chile Rellenos. They were not breaded, but instead served in a delicious golden sauce. I wanted four for an entree with the first bite.

I’ve never been disgusted by food, but this borderlined on insulting. Prison-food. I got tacos and couldn’t finish them for fear of my health. The meat looked like someone sat on it. I understand cutting on or two corners but this taco was like all the corners were cut, a perfect circle. Please do not eat here unless you want the experience of eating as a prisoner in Guatemala. This was not beef, this was wet cat food.

The bald manager/ owner and waitstaff were extremely rude. I placed a To-go order in the store and was told it would be 10min. I walked nextdoor to bide the time . I went back 25-30min later assuming my order would be ready only to find out that somehow the ticket was lost. I then repeated my exact order, another 15min later my "order" was brought out, missing items and made incorrectly. By now im very upset due to how im being treated by him when he brought my fo9d out and i try to explain the issue and whats wrong and missing, then the girl that took my order and said she was putting it in the computer, at time of placing it, tried to tell me she didnt remember me. Seriously? Instead of apologizing for the messup thats what im told? While waiting another 10min to get my food "corrected" I walk out to my car for a moment.. I come in to get the food and the bald "owner " proceeds to tell me I have 2 options get my money back or take my food. Clearly i wanted my food or i wouldnt had placed the order or waited an hour. But what he should've said is let me make this right and either comp the meal or part of it for the long wait (they were not busy) and for losing the ticket. NOT being rude towards me and speaking to me like he had. Treating me like their mess up was my fault. The old owners would have never treated me the way I was treated this time. I placed my order at 655 and didn't leave with my food until 750. Ive placed orders on some of the busiest days there and NEVER #1. Had to wait more than 25min and #2. Treated the...

I thought this restaurant changed owners. The food tonight was very bland and disgusting. I order enchiladas and it was mostly lettuce and wasnt even warm. The rest of my party had the same issue.. The service was horrible.. After we seated it was 20 mins before we even had any drinks. It's wasn't that busy.. So they probably don't have enough employees. The menu was still the old restaurant. Guessing the only thing they changed was the name on the outside of the building. Their Facebook even shows new menu, which was not what I was given..I haven't visited this restaurant in over a year.. I was soo hopeful it had changed.. Elkview needs a good Mexican restaurant.. But sadly you would be better off going to Charleston and find a different restaurant.. Los Amigos, Roco's or Plaza Maya. Are all...

My husband and I were traveling. We go to a lot of Mexican restaurants. Mexican is one of our favorite cuisines. This had to be the worst dining experience we have ever had! It was so bad that I barely ate mine! My husband could not finish his. They did not get his order correct. He asked for 2 chicken burritos and repeated it twice to the waiter. He still ended up with beef!! Mine was described in the menu as chicken breast covered in cheese dip. It came as I don’t know how to describe it! It was not strips, shredded, sliced, or a whole chicken breast! It kind of looked like Chinese noodles with cheese on top. Definitely not appetizing! I would not recommend this place. We both left with...
