So this place is almost there. Pizza is barely above average. It's kinda tasty as any pizza in the world is initially, but leave it sit for longer than 3 minutes out of the oven and the cheese turns into a thick tasty scab. When they opened, everything was top notch, just right now the consistency is off the rails. Do not bother getting anything chicken, it's clear they don't know how to cook it. I've gotten boneless, bone in, and just a straight up breast, all terrible. Wings overcooked to high heaven, boneless wings small, overcooked, and expensive. What I do at every "pizza place" is order a quesadilla, because right there you can see whether they care about serving you something that's not pizza, and not typical pizza place stuff. Which, if their pizza is top tier, who cares, they nailed it immediately, and no further look is necessary. I ordered the steak quesadilla. From the description I didn't expect chopped up cheese steak meat and not much cheese, but thats what I got. Along with a cup of I assume house made salsa, and then a sealed container of sour cream. Not happy, but ok. The last thing is, for some reason they put shredded lettuce, and chunked up tomatoes in with it. Worst part was, the quesadilla was about half tortilla. It's like they shook all the meat and cheese to the front end, which really just made it taste even more bland on the first bite because it was literally just cheese steak meat and cheese. I want to like this place. I've tried. I went there the week of opening and I was surprised how good it was. Now it can just die with the rest of the "just getting by" pizza joints. I haven't really delved into their entrees, but I got their veal parmigiana before and it was mid. Which at a 26 dollar price point, shouldn't be the case. It seems they want to be a place that makes fine Italian food. Fantastic, do that instead, you aren't a remarkable...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful experience at Failla's Pizzeria & Ristorante in Phoenixville! The dining area was spotless, well-organized, and had a warm, inviting design. We loved being able to see into the kitchen — it was just as clean and well-kept as the dining room. Even the bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated, which says a lot about the pride they take in their establishment.
Our server, Chrissy, was fantastic! She was welcoming, knowledgeable about the entire menu, and anticipated everything we needed before we even asked. Her enthusiasm made our evening even better.
The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and came out quickly. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich was perfect, and the onion petals with the accompanying sauce were so good I honestly could have eaten the whole basket myself! The Chicken Saltimbocca was hearty and well-balanced with the spaghetti underneath, and the Failla’s Grilled Chicken Sandwich was both beautifully presented and full of flavor.
We also grabbed a white pizza and Grandma’s Pie to go so we could share with family at home. Both were delicious, but the Grandma’s Pie really stood out with its buttery, chewy focaccia-like crust and rich, flavorful sauce — simply unforgettable!
Fast, friendly, and truly hospitable service combined with amazing food and a sparkling clean environment — Failla’s is definitely a place I can’t wait to...
Read moreTruly one of the few pizza spots around Phoenixville that I'd say doesn't cut corners on quality, is full of surprises, and was worth the wait leading up to it's grand opening. They have their pizza down to a perfect artistry. It is phenomenal! A thin crust that's never floppy or droopy, holding just the right amount of high quality cheese, sauce, and toppings. It's not a sweet sauce either, it's more on the savory side and goes great with the cheese they use. Pizza aside, their other items are great too! I recommend their caprese salad, chicken parm, wings, and pastas. The caprese is perfect everytime: solid tomato slices on a bed of fresh arugula, topped with mozzarella chunks and finished with a drizzle of fig balsamic. Everything always tastes fresh, looks good presentation-wise, and never a dead rotting spring mix leaf or sopping wet iceberg lettuce wedge or oil-drenched anything like what you get at most pizza places. Orders are handled with care. The service is excellent too! On most nights, they're busy but everyone is always friendly and engaged with the customers. Definitely our new regular spot for pizza...
