This place is great for lunch. I can't speak for their breakfast since I've never had the opportunity to try it, but the staff is always friendly and accommodating, the food is good, and the prices are pretty competitive. Some might consider it a small thing, but they have great chili for burgers/dogs—it's made in-house and isn't goopy at all like some places you go. While their other sandwiches and plates are too good to always get a burger here, it's one of the few places I can trust to have a decent beef patty. They do have a loyalty card: you get a punch for every $5 you spend, and in place of your twelfth punch, you get $5 off of your order. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the kitchen staff often doesn't pay attention to substitutions or other changes, and if you're getting your food to go, it pays to check your order before you head back to the office. Other than that I love this place, and have happily recommended it to my friends...
Read moreIf the food isn't enough of a reason to go, the owner Jimmy SURELY is! I stopped in on my lunch break for a quick bite to go - not only did I get a fantastic Reuben, but I also witnessed the owner, Jimmy, greet and serve an older gentlemen with such kindness. The gentleman was obviously down on his luck and short on cash, and he may have only had enough to pay for a grilled cheese instead of the fish sandwich he came in asking about, but Jimmy didn't care, he gave him the fish sandwich anyway. I didn't stay to see whether Jimmy charged him for his "grilled cheese" or not, but I'd be willing to bet that fish sandwich was on the house.
This is one business I'll go out of my way to patronize again and again, and Jimmy is a prime example of the kindness we need a little more of in...
Read moreI work just across the street from here and my co-workers and I go here constantly. As others have said, there really isn't much in this area. It's a small diner with a basic home-cooking type menu. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, meatloaf, fish, hamburger steak, etc. They also serve breakfast in the morning.
CCC really hits the spot when you're starving and only have 30 minutes to grab lunch and get back to work. They also do call-in/pickup ordering which is easy. The ladies working behind the counter and the owner are all extremely nice people and quickly start to recognize you as a regular once you've been...
