My Place Diner — Restaurant in Charlotte

We stopped by to try this local eatery. I love little "hole in the wall" places and the one review on this restaurant was good. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked good. We ordered breakfast. Our food was good and the portions were more than enough . The bonus was that coffee was included with breakfast! The only problem was that my home fries weren't quite done. All on all, it was a good meal for a small price. The service was OK and I would've rated this a 4, except as I was eating my last piece of toast I saw a small hair on it. I showed it to the waitress. She looked at it and didn't respond. NOTHING AT ALL. I wasn't asking for anything, just wanted her to let the kitchen know to be careful. I did expect her to say, "Sorry about that. I'll let the kitchen know." I left frustrated and upset that a nice meal ended that way. Having said all that, I would try this...

For our COVID Thanksgiving, the first spent alone, my husband and I wanted to support a local restaurant and had heard great things about My Place Diner. We could not have been happier with our traditional Thanksgiving dinner! It was perfect. The stuffing was just like my grandma used to make and even though I've never particularly liked cranberry relish, this was the best! There were so many leftovers that we got to enjoy Thanksgiving all over again the next day. We saved the pie for our family Zoom. Everyone was enjoying their homemade pie and we were, too! The women working there could not have been kinder, from taking the order to picking up our dinner, they were the nicest ever! Thank you so much. And the bill? It was so reasonable that my husband tipped the cost of the meal. We will definitely be supporting this business during the COVID...

I ordered food for lunch on my 7:30am break asked to have done by 9:45am. Great no problem. Well when my daughter picked up the order and bright it to me it was wrong. I ordered 2 spicy zingers and 3 zingers and a large bowel of potato soup. What I received was 3spicy zingers and a bowl soup. I called they did want to make it right but another 20 minutes and my lunch is only 30 minutes. I said we would not be ordering again. Then to top it off they were raw. So nobody got to eat. I gave them plenty of time . Would rather be all the way done and abut cold and the complete order. When I called back and told her not only did you mess up my order but our burgers are raw she seemed kinda upset. I did get my money back but 5 people got no lunch. Thank you My Place Dinner.
