I'm finally doing what the owners of this place refuse to do. Seems crazy but they dont have a menu on their web site, just two pictures of a beer (as of now and in the past). I have posted the menu pictures here for others to use.
This HAS to hurt their business. I'm worried about their survival after stopping by to get this menu specifically for this reason. It was 12:15 on a Friday afternoon and I dont think there was a single customer.
There's not a lot of "Wow" to the menu but its a decent place to stop by and get some basics...sandwiches, burgers, wings.
Fair warning if you order takeout here. They use Styrofoam containers that steam your food while you take it to wherever you are going to eat it, so anything that WAS crunchy or crispy, including wings (which I've had here some years ago and they were tasty) are ruined. They make their own chips here, but they cant survive the takeout containers...fries get limp too.
My advice is to open those containers ASAP, even the instant they are handed to you. Better cool fries than limp ones. This is the reason I dont order takeout from here; even opening the containers the minute I get them to my car...the food is already somewhat steamed. So try to be there the instant the food comes out of the kitchen.
I would say come to the restaurant and order takeout and wait so you can pounce on the packaging and open it right there, but the last time we ate here they weren't very busy but it still took a long time to get our food to the table, and this is a very basic menu. We've had better service in the past, it may have been a kitchen staffing issue that day.
It's not bad food. Menu is a bit limited for me. We had burgers and they were good....
Read moreGreat sports bar/restaurant! Lots of screens. Good sports bar menu. Kimber is awesome on Friday nights at the bar, fun but professional. Have been in for sit-down meals 3 times as well. It's good sports bar food for a good value. I'll agree with a previous reviewer that sometimes the waitstaff service isn't on top of things or seems be "hanging out" too much at the end of the bar or entry way to the kitchen. That gets especially annoying if you are sitting with dirty dishes or waiting on a drink refill. Again generally, I can overlook it because the food and bar service experience have been awesome. Generally, I think the hostess and the waitstaff need to put on their "game faces", smile, be excited and have fun with customers more than each other. There is enough good stuff about Blue 53 and when the staff is clicking it...
Read more2 of us was there Sunday, July 20th around noon. I ordered 6 wings with Celery (I wasn't very hungry. My husband ordered a sandwich with fries. This was our 3rd time going to Blue 53. The other 2 times no complaints. This time, 2 of my 6 wings were very dark inside (bruised) so I didn't eat those. The waitress offered to get me 2 more, but I refused. The celery was limp also. What really got me was when we received the bill, my husband was charged for 3 coffees. No one told us coffee refills weren't free. Soda and sweet tea is, but not coffee? I ask why we weren't informed, she replied, this is a sports bar. I really didn't feel like fighting that fight about the bill, but I knew I would do a...
