Delicious, Freshly Made Sandwiches Served Fast in a Cool Local Setting.
Watch out Primanti Brothers! I also get a sense that this is what the very first Primo Hoagies location may have been like in their very early days.
Located in an old school house, this was a time machine event for me. Clean wooden floors, fresh rolls in brown bakers bags behind the deli counter, fresh meats and salads that you can see. Open grill and prep area behind the counter. Smiling faces greeting you and courteous customers as well.
You order with a real person, not on an app. A crowd of mostly laborers, a few suits, some kids with their Mom and weekend warriors.
We stopped in for the famous Chinese Chicken Salad and a New Jersey Sloppy Joe. We added a few stuffed hot cherry peppers.
The Chinese Chicken Salad delivered! Freshly prepared chicken - not frozen or from a bag or processed. The chicken was paired with Asian coleslaw, chow mein noodles and lettuce, then dressed with a ginger sesame sauce.
Next was the New Jersey Sloppy Joe. Fresh Thumann's turkey meat with Swiss cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing on the freshest set of wheat bread slices. Wow! Simply delicious.
The stuffed hot cherry peppers made for a great appetizer - stuffed with prosciutto wrapped cube of parmesan cheese.
I will be visiting again to try other sandwiches and maybe catch a breakfast.
A must visit if you like your subs, heroes, grinders,...
Read moreMe and my partner live nearby and usually have a fresh coffee in the morning. There are not many places in the close area, where we can have it, so we often visit Green Village Deli for our cafeine boost. I must say that since a while your coffee is absolutely appaling and not drinkable. Your staff unfortunately do not know the difference between a coffee with milk and a coffee late or a cappuccino. Often too hot and with burnt milk. We actually had to throw your offered coffee away on few occasions and simply visit elsewhere. I also find your prices quite strange, very high for very low quality of products in comparison to places where quality is actually much better. I hope you can take this feedback into your consideration and we can enjoy your 'good...
