It is funny how I didn’t care that much for ice cream before in my life, until I had homemade ice cream from Sully’s. Located in Chelmsford, MA, this family business seems to be the talk of town every season and people wait patiently for every March 1st when they come back open year after year, after the brutal winters we have in New England. As a new person in town, to me it simbolizes the unofficial begging of Spring; when I’m craving for a taste that may remind me that warmer days will come and there’ll be evenings too hot for dinner that we’ll head to Sully’s for ice cream dinner. The variety of flavors they offer was overwhelming to me at first, but it made me venture out of my comfort zone and take the risk of trying new flavors and combinations. I’d say that this is also part of the experience, so take your time to choose before ordering. Although they offer parking on site, depending on the time of the day you visit when it’s high season, parking may be a challenge, but it’s worth it the patience and wait. Read moreI grew up in Chelmsford and my family always visited this stand because that's what farm families did for each other, or so my grandmother and mother always told me. I love the out-doorsies decor because it's the closest thing to even still exist that resembles the real farms that Chelmsford really was up until 30+ years ago. The town culture will never be the same again, but at least the kids can have real dairy ice cream with more nutritional value than most store...
Read moreI went in last week for my favorite ice cream strawberry cheesecake. I've been going here for about eight years and getting strawberry cheesecake almost every week.
But last week I got something that was completely different than the past. It was like liquid sugar and had very little strawberries at all. I'll change this review to five star if you agree to make the strawberry cheesecake ice cream like it used to be.
Many friends of mine are disappointing.
**update: they have gone back to the original quality strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Whether they are making it themselves or they’re buying it from a local distributor it’s now much more tasty than the previous few months. Don’t mess with...
