Me and 2 buddies were in the area from PA motorcycle camping over at Kiptopeke. We saw this place on Google and saw the reviews and decided to stop. I really REALLY wish I didn’t live 7+ hours away. This place is truly deserving of every 5 star review. The woman at the counter (honestly cant remember her name) but she was kind and friendly as she was beautiful. You order inside the store and they make your order in the food truck. Talked with the girl in the truck and she said everything was her moms recipes (sweet old lady that was sitting outside). We ordered 10 tacos, 3 empanadas, the quesabirria tacos, drinks. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes and cost just over $50, which is a great deal considering the amount of food we got. We also ended up taking 2 things of wet cake for dessert and also got some latin snacks from the store that we dont have in our area. Outside seating is limited but it was off season so they werent busy. Now, the food. AMAZING. The quesabirria tacos arent like your typical birria tacos but theyre the best I have EVER had. Everything was so FLAVORFUL. I got one of each taco (which are only $2.50/each and theyre a great deal!). The chorizo was my favorite. The empanada was so light but flaky. I have not one single bad thing to say about this place. I would ride back down the 360 miles from home just to come here. I plan on coming back to the area next year and I pray this place is still here. Well done.

Very nice place that was opened when we needed it. Bilingual staff and authentic with fresh ingredients. Nice prices and quick. Wish they had a bathroom or portable toilet with a sink if you wanted to sit and dine in. No hand sanitizer either on tables. Nice area and pretty good system. Must order inside and pick up out the back. Nice staff and they take cards. Sad that the quesadillas were so small, had I known I would had gotten something else. Gorditas could be cut deeper as well for proper fill. Overall I recommend!

We pulled off for a quick lunch at Carmelita’s on our road trip to Lewes Delaware. What a quaint surprise on this quiet beach peninsula. We ordered the carnitas tacos and carne asada relleno! The ingredients were very fresh, flavorful and authentic. The hot sauce was spicy and house made! We sat under the little umbrella and were grateful to find this little gem run by several women!

I had Carmelitas on my "Want to Go" list for quite some time, due to the high ratings they've received. We have just had our lunch and the ratings are WELL deserved, and then some! We were greeted so warmly in the tienda, offered the menu and told about the specials. We ordered ceviche, a burrito with carne asada and the tacos de lengua. The food was fast and so very fresh. The portions were generous, we couldn't finish and took it to our AirBnB. The ceviche was sweet and acidic and briney. I could eat this once a week at least! The chips were fresh and crunchy. The lengua was meltingly tender and the red salsa was spicy. My husband loved his burrito, which was huge. We are visiting for the weekend, and I'm set on returning to Carmelitas before we...

10 out of 10! This is a take out restaurant but well worth trying! We had carnitas, lingua and chorizo tacos and they were all amazing! This place is the real deal!!! Hands down the best tacos I’ve had in years. The meat was fresh, moist and flavorful. The taco shells were homemade corn tortillas and were perfectly soft and held up perfectly while eating. The ladies that were working were super friendly and helpful. Would eat here often if we lived on the Eastern Shore! This place is a much try for anyone wanting a good authentic...
