As you could tell from the pictures the food was less than stellar. As a person that has gone to the bite of pizza in New York which is solely dedicated to pizza as well as living in Napoli Italy for 2 years, I think gives me a unique view of how pizza should be.
The wife of the owner came by asking how things were and I started the conversation off with. I have some constructive criticism for you and her response was oh this should be fun, showed me directly how this conversation was gonna go.
I showed her the amount of burnt on the bottom of the pizza, it is truly unacceptable. I tried to explain if there was some corn meal on the bottom of the pizza or inside the pizza oven, there would have been far less burning on the bottom of their pie. Her response was it’s an 800° pizza oven and some people just don’t like brick oven pizza. Let’s not even discuss the amount of grease on the pizza pan.
Now the spaghetti and meatballs had a good flavor, except for the exorbitant amount of water that was still left in the pasta dish that was beginning to be absorbed making pasta gummy. I poured all the water out. You can also see how the breadsticks were burnt as well .
Their Macaroni and cheese was outstanding. The pasta was al dente cheese and flavor on point great job that was the highlight of the meal.
In the end, I ate two slices of pizza and left the rest of it at the diner. It was just...
Read moreWe chose to try the new pizza place in town. The pizza was good - we ordered the 12" Queen Supreme (14.99) adding Ham (1.49) ... we received our pizza and it was tasty ... however, we could not see or taste any ham ... overall there was about 1/2 cup (I'm not exaggerating) of ingredients on it ... which included: sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, cheese ... and the so called ham. They brought our pizza to us - we had to ask for plates and silverware, got up and got our own condiments and not one time did anyone one ask how it was or if we needed anything...and then had to ask for a to go box. I commented to one staff person about not noticing the ham and the response was "oh". As we were leaving we spoke to three other staff members about the ham and the small amount of toppings...their response to that was "we'll take that into consideration". Not sure what that means, but not impressed. 4 Stars because the pizza was good; 3 Stars is pushing it for the service and 2 on the atmosphere...nothing fancy, very clean though, but it was also very chilly. We do realize they just opened, but I would think in the beginning everyone would be trying to impress the customers more ... with the food and customer service (even if it was offering us the refund of $1.50...which we probably would have said don't worry about it...but the offer...
Read moreMy family and I had a great experience. There are 7 of us and two allergies. My wife and I have alpha gal (mine is very mild, but hers is more intense) and one of our sons is gluten free. Not only did these guys accommodate at a level we were very comfortable with, they were knowledgeable about alpha gal and had answers to every question we had. We all loved our food and we plan to make this our new family spot. Those of you without food allergies may not understand, but being accommodating and knowledgeable in regard to our food allergies is an absolute winner to us. The food and experience was worth every penny- which was reasonable. We got three appetizers, six 12” pizzas, a pasta, the drinks, and two 12”dessert pizzas for around $140. They even have games customers can play like Uno, dominos, and cards+. There is definitely a “come in and hang out” feel. OH! I don’t know if it’s common practice or if they want people knowing if it isn’t 😬 but they even let our two youngest boys “make” their own pizzas. It was great! Like I said, we will definitely be back, and this will be our new...
