I remember when I was too young to go to school that I went to the Conklin Bar, although it was called Bob's Tavern I believe. I would go with my great Uncle Rob to get feed ground for our cattle across the street at (Sam) Dykstra's elevator. As we waited we would go to the bar. Uncle Rob would have a beer or two, with just a pinch of salt added, and I would have an orange pop.
