"New customer & First Impression Review." Nice family establishment. Customer service also nice. Now as for the food I gave OB's "1 stars ⭐" this was based on the taste, freshness of the food & my overall experience. I would've like to give 1 & a half stars but you can't give halfs & I definitely couldn't afford 2. I order a large oxtail platter for $17 it came with (2) sides and I chose cabbage & red beans & rice. I hadn't eaten all day so I quickly sampled the cabbage (my favorite side) before plating at home & immediately confused at how sweet it was; Hoping it was just a oddly sweet 1st bite I tried it again & the disappoint set in that the cabbage was ruined by the tremendous amount of sugar used. Hold tight as we're still kinda going down hill. The oxtails were pretty fatty & lacked that authentic Caribbean flavor. The oxtails kind of just tasted boiled with some seasonings but absolutely no herbs or spices could be detected. The red beans & rice was mediocre at best. I also ordered an additional side of cabbage because as I mentioned cabbage is my favorite side dish when ordering Caribbean food; Bad decision (extra $5 bucks down the drain). I order 2 beef patties & 1 chicken pattie. The patties were okay (see photos). Lastly I order a large coco bread which was probably the highlight of the entire order. This visit left a bad taste in my mouth & in my pocket as I now need to figure out another dinner option since we couldn't fill up on coco bread & a few meat patties. Needless to say revisiting OB's of Chester is out of the question. Overall my Fiancé & I were dissatisfied. This review is based on my Chester location experience. I have actually tried their Delaware location in the past & was really impressed at the authentic taste & flavors in their food. The Chester & Delaware locations are like night & day in comparison. Pssst 🗣: Hey OB, Send your Delaware cooks down to your Chester location to give them a few pointers.

Different Cheesesteak #1165. This was a good day to be me!! Jerk Chicken Cheesesteak was on the specials board; $10.50. Sweet Potato Pound cake; $5. You know I love those prices!! Sweet Potato Pound cake may be the best thing I bought on my Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. Jerk Chicken Cheesesteak had a ton of flavor. I got it the way OB makes it. Hot or mild, I went mild. Still had a little kick. Not a lot of cheese but do I want a lot of cheese covering the jerk Chicken flavor?!?!? Don’t be in a hurry, OB’s is on Island time.

I ordered myself some Brown Stew Chicken, rice, and beans with some sweet potatoes. I loved every bit of it! Everything about it was on point! Portion size was great enough for 2-3servings with the large that I got. The taste was so fresh that I tasted every ingredient definitely made with love! The lady at the front is always welcoming with a smile. Service is fast, I always take my food to go, but you can dine in. Not one of my best photos, but it's gonna have to do;)

Let’s just get to it! If your looking for authentic Caribbean/Jamaican food this is NOT IT!!

Customer service was I guess ok, they are still wearing mask so it was little to no communication other than placing our order.

For this to be a Caribbean/Jamaican spot we expected the food to be really good and authentic which we were wrong!

We purchased curry chicken platter w/ cabbage and collard greens, jerk chicken platter w/ Mac & cheese and collard greens and a side of brown stew chicken. The platters doesn’t come with rice which should be a given and neither did they ask if we wanted it, we found that out after we left. The curry chicken was bland and so was the jerk chicken, they both came with a gravy on it so we definitely didn’t get any pot liquor (juices) from the food when it was cooked which real Jamaicans are big on. The gravy consisted of cornstarch and water and a little gravy maybe from the cooked food, you could tell from the big separation in it, it was clear and then had spots of curry. Jerk chicken tasted like rotisserie chicken instead of from the grill like most jerk chicken is. Collard greens were horrible, you could tell they were from a can with no flavor. Cabbage was so sweet you wouldn’t think you were eating cabbage, so therefore no flavor! Mac & Cheese was just yellow with a little cheese and was very bland and tasteless! Brown stew chicken tasted strictly like Browning Seasoning, nothing authentic. Overall not worth the money and they don’t value customers serving such food! I do not recommend and will not be returning! My husband said I might as well be Caribbean because my dishes are way more authentic...

It was so super hot in the building. The hood fans where not on and there is on ac anywhere. Theres a hugh fan that points at the cooks so they know its super hot in there. I ordered ox tails and it was like eating a box of kosher salt chasing it with a bottle of soy sauce. All the food is completely done and just sitting on the stove top on a low heat ALL day to ensure that you are NOT getting fresh and healthy product. The greens are really good and because of the food being completely cooked the service was very quick. I completely understand you can't make ox tails to order (no way) but they could be cook and stored in a fridge and heated up to order I'm a SURE they are exceeding...
