Na zdravie Vineyard and Winery — Restaurant in Chillicothe

This venue is truly beautiful, sadly, my recent wedding, and rehearsal dinner that took place there was marred by multiple issues and I want to make sure anyone who is considering renting this space for their big day or any event has a clear idea of what to expect. We experienced an extreme lack of communication…many texts, emails and calls were simply unanswered (even on the day of the wedding) which led to a lot of added anxiety and last minute stress for everyone. My family and I were able to initially look at the space in July of 2020 and we expressed to the owner how we were unsure if we would have a masked or unmasked wedding. At the time, the owner was very receptive and ensured us that they would be okay with whatever protocols we put in place to keep people safe. However, when we informed them in September of 2021 that we had decided on a 100% masked wedding they came back and said their bartender, and in fact none of their staff wear masks…so, put in a difficult position, we were forced to come up with an alternative. It was important to us to have these measures in place as my family has had multiple deaths from Covid, and many people were traveling from out of state. So we said, we’d have no bartender for the wedding and just do bottles of wine at the tables for our guests to enjoy. Then come to find out on the wedding day, the bartender was there, unmasked and serving drinks. My husband and I felt completely disrespected by this as it seemed all our planning and agreements had been ignored. The bridal get-ready room had no toilet paper, or paper towels and we had to ask for them after having been there for a few hours. The Naz Vineyard is located on some of the most attractive land Ohio has to offer. The Mergo's know their wine after perfecting their craft over the last 7 years. With approximately 11 acres containing 16 varieties of grapes the Naz Vineyard and Winery can cater to any individual's tastes. Included on the property are fruit trees and berry bushes which find their way into the selections. They host musicians, food trucks and a gorgeous view of rolling hills for your enjoyment while you sample the fruit of the land.

This winery is located 20 minutes from Hocking Hills with camping nearby. They can host weddings and receptions, conferences and reunions, as well as give locals a place to unwind and meet-up with friends.

In the works for 2018 is construction of a large patio and deck for patrons to enjoy the summer evenings with each other outside.

Please make sure you get to the polls and support this local treasure by voting "Yes" on their local liquor option this first Tuesday in November 2018. The winery is lovely with some great wine & delicious food! We saw no signage on the road that mentioned Naz or Na Zdravie & we would have missed it without Google Maps.

I would recommend bringing your own wine glasses (we did), though, as we bought a wine tasting of six wines that came in small plastic cups and were told one only gets to use their wine glasses if a glass of wine is bought! Small plastic cups don't serve justice to any wine (IMO), but it really doesn't seem that wine is the focus at this winery - more the restaurant.

We really enjoyed the jazz ensemble the night we were there - very talented! I had to use my earplugs as they were geared more for an outside venue rather than the indoor close quarters.
