China Lake Provisions — Restaurant in China

I finally had the chance to stop by this place for the first time this week, and now it being Saturday, I've been by twice. This might be my new favorite spot to go to for lunch or dinner or both. And after really looking over the entire store to see what they have to offer, I was completely blown away to see that most of everything they sell is organic and local. Me and my mother had lunch there the first time I went, we both had Turkey&Avocado Sandwiches, made with fresh bread from Dutton Family Farm. The sandwich was one of the best I've had in a long while. One thing I must point out, is the homemade ice cream in the small pint containers. Me and my mother went through 2 pints in a couple days. The 2nd pint, kookie monster, we ate in 15 minutes sitting in the car. BEST ICE CREAM I'VE EVER HAD. In a nutshell, this store is absolutely amazing. How the owners renovated this store, it's beautiful. It's got the best country store vibe, ever. Absolute gem to the town of China and surrounding area. The place is always packed! I guess people found out quick just how awesome this store is. And I hear the 🍕 is crazy good! 100% would recommend this hidden gem to any in the area or those just passing through. We buy lunch from CLP on the regular for work functions and couldn't be more pleased with their quality, selection, service, and local-driven atmosphere. We recently catered a work luncheon and CLP was happy to put together a small catering-style order complete with 100% GLUTEN-FREE options, which are not always easy to find. China lake provisions is one of the best experiences I've had in Maine in a very long time. The staff are so generous and considerate. They took the time to carry pizza to my car when I had my arms full with my son. They provided my son with a healthy snack while we waited for our food. And they even gave my dogs some treats that were waiting in the car. The pizza is by far one of the best we've had.
