Pizza Corral — Restaurant in Chouteau

First impression. I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while. So I had the opportunity to call in a pizza order. I ordered a medium stampede with thin crust (it's a super supreme with lots of stuff on it) I also ordered six spicy wings. Once I had my order, I went next door to Sonic to get a drink. I opened the wings up and they were soggy! I knew right away they would be, because they had burned places where they set on the pan in the oven. Also, apparently when you order spicy wings they think you mean barbecue wings! Oh well, at least I have the pizza. I expect when I order a thin crust pizza for the crust to be somewhat crispy at least. This one was not. Floppy pizza crust! Plus the topping sled right off. I really think it could have spent another 2 minutes in the oven. Maybe I shouldn't ordered a pizza with lots of toppings? I travel for work all around the country and get to eat pizza and a lot of places. I was hoping this would be one of those places with over the top Pizza. Honestly, it was just okay. The lady at the window was very friendly and even offered to make me some spicy buffalo wings instead of the barbecue. I declined because I guess I should have asked more questions about the wings. I will still try this place again, as they have some good looking sandwich options. Heck, I may even eat...

I’ve always loved Pizza Corral. The pizza is always perfect. Thin crust. Perfection. The buffet almost always has pizza on it and it’s always the classics. Pepperoni, cheese, sausage, Canadian bacon, Hawaiian. One of my biggest pet peeves is a pizza buffet that dosent keep pepperoni on the buffet and I’ve never had problems with this place doing it. We came here for the lunch buffet and then another day we did a carry-out pizza order for dinner.

The lunch buffet was fine, no complaints. Hot and fresh pizza, good selection. Service was friendly and it was an ok atmosphere.

Unfortunately, our takeout experience was a bummer. The pizza was really not good, almost as bad as Mazzio's. The crust in particular was just tough and lackluster. After that I definitely lost my taste for it. Not even the lunch buffet sounds good to me anymore....
