Burger King — Restaurant in Chowchilla

My bf and I are traveling across the country and stopping at this BK is by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever encountered in all of the BK’s across the U.S. I’ve ever stopped at. I ordered 2 bacon egg cheese croissan’wich and 2 sausage egg cheese croissan’wich with 2 orange juices. First this place wasn’t even busy but this poorly managed BK was ALL disarray!!! The kids working under the manager (Rosie) had NO LEADERSHIP and every order was getting messed up. I waited nearly 10 minutes before they even bothered to take my order. Then waited another 25 minutes and still didn’t have my order. Secondly and this was a big one, the manager (Rosie) wasn’t even wearing gloves while handling food. I witnessed her touching cooking appliances, then with bare hands she was handling meat patties, lettuce, onion etc. after I got tired of waiting and watching the very unsanitary food practices I decided I wanted a refund. I confronted the manger about handling food without gloves and she stated that she washes her hands frequently - DOES NOT MATTER plus the entire time I was there I not once saw her wash her hands before touching anything - THAT IS CROSS CONTAMINATION! The general manager of store #28543 needs to get this place in compliance with food safety and a manager that knows how to delegate work to employees and have the ability to run a high traffic store smoothly. This was such a poor experience I’m glad it was just a one time stop as we were passing through. I wouldn’t give this place even 1 star nor would I ever return unless this has a complete turn around in management and food...

Always horrible service. They park every single car, even if there is nobody else in the drive thru line. I came here on my lunch break because it was the closest food place. I watched a car in the other line order before me, even though they have two lanes they only take orders one at a time. I watched the car leave and still had to wait to place my order. I waited 10 minutes and said "hello?" about 20 times, no answer. I pulled up to the window to place my order and the young man that was working was rude and said he could not take my order at the window and that he was about to take my order but I left. I explained how long I had already waited and how ridiculous it was that I had to go all the way back around even though there was nobody in line!!! SO STUPID! Don't waste your time or money here. I think people don’t understand how a fast food place of this size works. They aren’t mcdonald’s they don’t have lots of workers and pre pared food. At most i’ve seen 3 workers at a time. One taking orders, one cooking, and one expediting. This doesn’t count the times two people work. People want their food right away and if that is the case get a refund and go somewhere else. These people are overworked and try their hardest. Nothing but great service, if you’re rude to them don’t expect to have the same attitude back. They cook by ORDER so you don’t have old food when it is done hence the parking you. Others would much rather complain if it was cold and hard so I have nothing by respect for...
