Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Christiansburg

I have loved long johns my entire life but every time I go I lose faith that this restaurant is worth eating at. I have had many good experiences but this recent one took the cake, I don’t even want whatever coupon I’d be offered because I will not go back after this.

I can’t even begin to understand how this order happened. The fish was out too long and put back in the fryer (I can only imagine, I really don’t know why is was chewy outside and fish hard as tac). The 12 hush puppies were 4 oil bombs. The fries I got, that I did not order, were cold and wet. But the worst offender of all was the green beans. The bacon fat must have gone rancid. I’ve watched my husband eat garbage and not flinch. These green beans though? He gagged and had to spit it out. He said “do not eat that, that’s gone bad!”.

Every thing was covered in a light dusting of black specs, I’m hoping this is burnt oil and crispies , but I can’t shake the feeling it’s something worse.

I really thought the revamp meant improved food and changing the oil, but the oil tastes old. Like, hasn’t been emptied and deep cleaned in 30 years. I feel sick thinking about this. Please turn things around, I want to have a good LJS experience again! I miss the perfectly cooked fish and light crispie bits and soft cakey...

I ordered the #1 ($8.29) added a piece of chicken ($2.29). I was told my total was $16.??. I questioned it. Daniel W (employee) told me "well that aint the price". I questioned again as that is what the drive thru menu board said. He said again "that aint the price". A manager came over the speaker and gave me a new total of $12.72. When I pulled up to the window Daniel W slammed the window open and argued with me over what a "meal was versus a combo". I stated, "I ordered a #1 add a piece of chicken". He then said "you don't want to hear the difference in the meal and the combo just give me your money". I was shocked at this rude behavior as there were other remarks he made towards me as "you don't want to hear it, just hand me your money" over again. When he handed me my drink I told him "I hope your day gets better". He yelled out the drive thru window as I was pulling off vulgar remarks. I am shocked at how out of control this small situation was and how angry he was. Clearly the staff heard this in its entirety. Terrible...

Wish I could rate them with NO STARS. My fiancé and I ate dinner here around 6:30 and by 7:45 my fiancé was throwing up! The employee who prepared our plates kept looking at us like she knew she was serving us old food. We sat down and I ate the nasty fries but when I touched the fish it felt lukewarm and looked like it had sat under a heat lamp for hours! I sent my food back because I’m sorry but I didn’t go sit and eat inside a food industry to be served such bullsh*t. My fiancé was unbothered and just didn’t want to complain, so he ate it. When we were leaving he had IMMEDIATE food poisoning symptoms. He felt lightheaded and dizzy and I had to walk him to the car and help him in and he felt nauseous the whole time.
