Well... I feel so sad to give a two star review. The stars are only because of the convenience of being right off the highway and If you are visiting and find yourself wanting to try our magnificent cousine you would say oh let's stop here. But...I tried it.. the food was ok, hit or miss with this place. Now what really made it horrible was the service. Lady was so out of it- slow, slow and slower. To start off it took for ever because is like a line and you can't really decide right off what you want they have like all kinds of disorganized windows, finally ordered what, then my food just sat there waiting on I don't know what- and when finally the container was broght to the cashier.. another slow process..there was no greet no smiles no nada, very odd because all the places we had gone Puerto Rico people had really step up their game as they are .. this ones are just having bad days after another. to point out there was NOT a line nor they where extremely busy, so that is NOT an excuse for poor service. And just she looked what we had said the price and slowly got our drinks. Did not even bother to take any pictures. do not recommend - keep on looking there are millions of Lechoneras with vast menu and people that love to receive and serve with a smile. Y eso viene de una Puerto Riqueña que lamentable, me...

I have read about the Pork Highway and had an opportunity to drive through part of it. Luckily it was early, so there wasn’t a lot of traffic. And luckily, this place was open. I was easily able to find someone who spoke enough English to satisfy my needs. Chunks of pork cut from a whole pig. It was interesting. Different. Really salty.

Los Amigos was open early, nice, clean, seemed to be popular, very casual and kind of touristy. Not really North American touristy. But I kind of local touristy. 10am there was already two tour buses parked nearby. There was a big group there for their high school reunion and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. I really think that if it was later in the day, I would’ve been overwhelmed. But that’s just me. Try it. I doubt that you’ll find anything else like it outside of Puerto Rico. And it may be exactly what you’re looking for. I really love Puerto Rico. It has a whole...

Stopping here was a great idea. The atmosphere is comfortable and actually feels modern for how long this business has been here. Staff was friend and helpful. Well as much as they can be with how fast they are working. The cafeteria setup makes sense for this place as it is the only way to get as many people through as they do. Walking up and seeing the lechon already tells you this place is going to be a great place to eat. I ordered arroz Amarillo wh9ch is a must at this place, Morcilla that was moist and amazing, their Yuca was actually the best I've had on the island so far, and of course.. Lechon.... that was truly amazing. Every bite was worth this stop. I actually can't wait to stop here again. If you are in this area. It is a must stop place. Don't pass this place up. Its...

Great customer service. Friendly staff. El lechon was on point! Great portion sizes. Refreshments were super cold.

Easy to find, right off the highway, and very good authentic Puerto Rican food. White rice with the stewed beans which I been wanting for a while were nice and delicious. Don’t hesitate to go with any of the 3 options of rices they have tho(looking at that arroz con grandules for next time). An essential side dish you have to get are the morcillas(blood sausage) which were done decently but lacked a bit of spiciness that I’m used to. The yuca and pasteles were very good as well. Now onto why you came so far that big roasted pig. It’s an experience seeing the butcher cut up the piece of meat you’ll about to devour right in front of you and the flavor delivers. The pork was well seasoned and that skin was very tender and crunchy. They also sell roasted chicken which looked nice.
