We stopped in for a bite to eat while passing through and were sadly disappointed with the experience. When we arrived there was a reserved party going on in the front so we were seated in a back dining room on what seemed like an old stage. That was ok, and the young lady who served us was new and learning the job so this review has nothing to do with her. She was very kind and attentive, and we left her a substantial tip in spite of the food. The food: I ordered the Reuben Rolls and Chicken Parmesan, my girlfriend got the eggplant parmesan. The Reuben Rolls were burned when I got them and I was surprised anyone would have allowed them to leave the kitchen. I sent them back and got some others that were less burned but not before a very defensive manager(?) asserted that they needed to be burned on the outside in order for the inside to not be cold inside? They were barely edible. Next up, chicken Parm... These were thick chicken breasts served on top of a pile of pasta. These were not properly prepared, the chicken was thick and rubbery, ....and the sauce... The sauce was an abomination that looked and tasted like somebody warmed a can of diced tomatoes, water and all, and dumped it on the plate. It was chunky, watery and flavorless. Again I was surprised anyone would allow that to be served. Onto the eggplant parmesan. A goopy pile of eggplant-flavored breadcrumbs soaked in that same watery sauce. Inedible and an affront to Italian cuisine, like everything else here. I'd be embarrassed to serve it at a soup kitchen for the homeless.
I am very certain that this is the worst Italian meal I've ever had in my 57 years and I strongly suggest you not waste...
Read moreJust moved around the corner and thought we would give them a try for dinner. Saw on their FB page they had a special tonight, 2 large pizzas for $22. Delivered cost me just under $30. Decent price for sure, no complaints there. My family & I were pretty disappointed when the pizzas showed up 2 square thick crust upside down pizzas. I guess we were expecting a "normal" round pizza with the sauce on the bottom and cheese on the top. I have never heard of getting an upside down pizza unless specifically asking for it. For them to offer an upside down pizza as their regular is disappointing to say the least. If I had known I would have either asked for a normal round pizza or, just ordered elsewhere. I'm sure we will end up giving them another shot at some point and will have to remember to ask for the pizza to be right side up lol. It tasted ok but not as good as a regular pizza would have been. I say give them a try for yourself. They were very generous with the cheese. So much so that we had to make sure not to choke lol but I'm not complaining about that. Just be aware of it and that the sauce being on top makes for an extremely messy eating experience. The delivery only took 30 mins as promised and both the girl that took my order on the phone and the delivery driver were...
Read moreWay too brightly lit. And they need to have music piped in. It’s so odd without music. The night we were there (12/9), the waitress was overwhelmed. She forgot my refill -don’t worry, I still tipped her well. But if you ever saw when Vera keeps switching people’s plates in the film “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” this is what happened here. The orders were all being given to the wrong people and people at different tables had to keep switching plates with total strangers. It was comedic but prob not for the waitress. (And one woman at a table was hacking up a lung and honestly, would not have switched my plate for her table.)
The food was not even lukewarm when it arrived at the table. When I did ask for the aforementioned refill, the waitress seemed annoyed. Sorry to ask you to do your job, lady.
They should also serve bread at the tables. Unless they do and ours was forgotten.
Not...
