Country Kitchen — Restaurant in City of Rome

We are not from the area, we flew in to the airport close by, but we have gone twice now to this restaurant (first time we did take out). You can tell that there are a lot of regulars that go there by the way everyone knows the waitresses and helps themself to coffee. This would be a lovely place to eat if they were more welcoming and had quicker service. Everyone just stared at us silently when walking in and no one came to talk to us for a good 20 minutes, finally someone was told to get us a menu and silverware but we didn’t see our waitress for another 20 minutes after that. It wasn’t busy and most of the people who were there already got their food so we weren’t really sure what was happening. Once we were finally asked what we wanted to drink it took them another 30 minutes to ask what we wanted to eat. It seems the waitresses were too worried about what was on their phone that they forgot they were at work, I observed everyone there making comments about it as well so I know it wasn’t just us who were noticing it. If you pick up food you shouldn’t have any of these issues, I would recommend this place due to the prices being so cheap but...

Prolly one of the worst breakfast places i been to atmosphere was ok at first when u first walk in but then gets awkward. you look around and it feels like a diner in the hills of west virginia lol and you have people staring at you the whole time your there like its a normal thing for the place while at the same time being eerily quiet the whole time food quality was mostly poor for example the corn beef hash they offer is 98 percent shredded potatoe with miniscule flakes of corn beef in there.greens were vile an the turkey club one of us had was ok but you can get way better at the iron kettle.the food took forever to come out for eggs corn beef hash and soup and sandwhiches we waited for almost a hr. were still on the hunt for a good all around breakfast/lunch place near rome since the clover is gone but this place is...

I went for breakfast with my client. The service was impeccably horrible, we didn't receive a menu within the first 10 mins of being there, and then we waited another good 20 mins without ordering before I decided that we'd leave. Not only was I uncomfortable because of the blatantly rude stares from the patrons, but the servers looks as if they didn't want me in their establishment anyhow. The only time that they've noticed us being there was when a black woman walked in with an older white fellow & when they've seen our backsides leaving.
