Wow! What a great find. Came here from Clinton because I was with a friend who had some special dietary needs and wanted to eat outside - I never imagined I would be finding the best restaurant I've eaten at since moving to upstate NY three years ago. The food is divine - fancy but not so fancy that it's unrecognizable. Had the grilled cheese with fig jam, mussels in white wine, roasted summer squash in curry butter, and finished with a strawberry upside down cake with elderflower whipped cream. I also had the Nighthawk, with bourbon and campari. It was all absolutely amazing. Already working on plans to bring my husband and my in-laws!!

Went for the first time last night rather than going Utica or Syracuse. It was amazing, now what I appreciate the most is that there was no push for wine or other alcohol even being a ‘Wine Bistro’. This was amazing and so comforting, the food was out of this world. The works meat & cheese board was so much fun and very filling, the sandwich I got was great and my husbands steak made him cry from pure joy. We will be returning and watching for the tacos I see they post on Facebook. Amazing service, none of the waitstaff should ever be tipped under 30%, absolutely perfect.

My wife and I decided to try this bistro for our wedding anniversary. Absolutely delicious Light meals, nothing heavy weighing you down. Cheese please is an amazing cheese plate with local cheeses and information on them as well which, is very cool. Other reviews talk about small portions which is actually what made me want to try it. However, They do offer larger options as well if interested. I loved being able to taste the wine before purchasing a glass. Very nice atmosphere. Thanks so much everyone!! Fantastic experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 😁

I had been waiting to make the hour drive to eat here, and it did not disappoint!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is calming and inviting. I love the decor choices and openness. The staff was amazingly inviting.

The menu has variety, but is not overwhelming or "novel-like". The chef has carefully chosen a selection of dishes that customers will love.

I started my meal with the crostini, which has ricotta, fig, and honey on top. The bread had a nice outer crisp and a soft interior, and the toppings were out of this world.

Next, I had the special- seafood stuffed shells with a side salad. The shells were amazing- filled with seafood and coated in a delicious cream sauce. The salad had 2 dressing options- ranch or vinaigrette. I loved the acidic punch delivered by the vinaigrette, as I often find dressings to not be strong enough. My mom ordered the same thing and was also a huge fan.

My husband chose the tuna tartar ( which of course I sampled). Very fresh and tasty, with notes of lemon and sesame running throughout.

Though I was stuffed at this point, I couldn't pass on the peach free-form tart with lemoncello whipped cream. Such a balanced dessert!

My only moment of sadness was that they ran out of corn bisque just before we ordered- I will have to go back to try it soon! ( I also have my eye on the mussels- so much food, so little stomach room...)

Overall, an amazing (and needed) addition to Rome's culinary options! If you haven't been, it...

My friends and I were in the Rome area and made our way to the Vine & Fig on a suggestion from a local couple. What a find! We were warmly greeted at the door and waited a short time while they set up a larger table for my group. Large wine and beer selection along with eclectic house designed, spirit based drink menu. Bourbon blended with multiple bitters types and served in a smoked glass, really- filled with smoke from a stick the bartender (Mike) lit on fire! Really cool presentation. Plus several custom and original non-alcoholic drinks too. The menu has great foodie choices. Interesting dishes with a slight spin. Open kitchen environment so you see all being made in front of you. We all had delicious meals - pickled veggies, crispy smashed salt potatoes and burrata salad to start; Cubano sandwiches, Muscles and the Shrimp boil, both served in the pot style. All amazingly flavorful and with an original twist. Compliment to the Chef. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant choice for your dining dollars. We’ll certainly go back when in the area again....

I love going to Vine & Fig. I usually go to Vine & Fig after my shift at a restaurant, so, it's usually just for a cocktail. Mike, the bartender, is amazing. He remembers me and my preferred drink. I have also tried some of his specialty and they are fabulous! But what makes Vine & Fig different than anywhere else in Rome is Carlie! I haven't had all her food, but the food I have had has been absolutely amazing. Her flavors are spot on and it's always cooked to perfection! I have been there enough to at least see all of her dishes. Although, as I see them go out the look delicious. I look foward to continue trying Carlie's dishes. Besides her food Carlie and her staff bring the most welcoming...
