We had a large party for birthday party & were disappointed by food quality. For $50 a head, salmon was so overdone several guests mentioned & the birthday person refused to eat stating it was tough & dry. The breaded chicken dish was flavorless & soggy/oily according to guests so only the pasta was deemed to be ok. The salad was also ok but the sever took salads off tables before many guests were seated so many guests never got salad. We requested a gluten-free option which was a disgusting piece of pan fried chicken without breading that looked like a beef jerky- never seen a price of chicken so dried up. A decent chef should know how to cook chicken without breading . The room was too tiny relative to the number of guests so it was difficult to talk or move. People kept walking through our dining room area to use the toilet & were bumping into us coming to or leaving rest rooms. Also one server was rude and interrupted people talking shoving coffee in front of them. They overcharged us on desert by $60 & didn’t have the correct order anyway - The final bill was more than quoted. They also began taking the tables apart while guests were taking pictures & finishing coffee or wine, I understand they may have needed the room but politely inform guests who have just spent 5k on event (with poor quality food) that they can move the party to the outside deck. It was embarrassing. Also-gluten free was digesting - we had discussed with manager before event as the person organizing/paying for event needed the gluten free option. After spending much money on a special event for nearly 60 people, it was not too much to ask for an edible gluten free meal. Disappointed.I hate leaving bad reviews but...
Read moremy wife and I have eaten here more than a dozen times and always liked the food, service and view of the golf course. I encourage everyone to go to this restaurant - especially families. even though we did not have the usual exceptional experience - we will definitely return.
today, we brought two friends and were a bit disappointed.
two of us ordered the fairview salad. general an abundance of lettuce and all the accouterments. it used to overflow the plate and provide a good solid meal for $14. this time, we each received perhaps a salad half the size with half the ingredients. we should have sent it back but the other meals were being served and the timing was off. I mentioned this to the server and the sever confirmed that the size of the portion was reduced. it's a shame because adding more lettuce would perhaps cost ten cents and greatly improve the presentation. at $14 it was truly a disappointment and one could say a ripoff.
we sat inside in the outer bar area in the far corner near the door that goes outside. every time the door closed it sounded like a crash and our table almost shook. this happened every 30 seconds and was very disturbing. there were no other table available in the area. here's a simple suggestion to Joe - replace the hinges w quite one that would not crash every time. I realize that when you work there every day you don't notice this kind of thing - but our guests were puzzled why this problem existed. it did take away from enjoying the...
Read moreService was horrible. Waitress was miserable and uncommunicative. There was a large party in the back room and our food took over an 1 hour and 15 mins to come out. Another table had sat down, eaten, paid, and left and we still had not been served. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced. The manager came over at one point to apologize and explained to us that there was a large party in the black that took precedence over us but never did anyone offer us even some bread or drink refills and the waitress just avoided our table while taking care of all of the tables around us. I eventually got up and spoke to the hostess because she was the only person around and she was sweet and apologetic and must have spoken to someone because our food finally came out a while later. I have never written a review for a restaurant before but this was such a bad experience that I could not let it go without calling them out. I worked I the service industry for years and I get that the kitchen gets backed up but there’s a way to deal with that from a customer service perspective and these people clearly...
