Reading the reviews here.... Boy they must be bought from random sites or doctored because they're all lies. At first glance maybe seems nice until your in. Let's start with the showers 10 pm at night literally a ghost town here honestly thought it was a mirage but I go in pay for me and my wife and I thought well I have a little time I'll play the claw machine took 3 tries but I did win as I entered with my wife the cashier stopped me to ask for the money for the stuffed animal I won in the claw machine he watched me play I said no I got this from the machine showed him the video I took of playing and he quieted up real fast next off to the showers. On the way down it looked beautiful until you look a little closer but what ever right to the showers I walk in my wife right behind and boom there it is nether region hairs all over the toilet seat and showers beared hair (we hoped) all over the sink and soap on the mirrors like totally not cleaned at all ($15 for this shower) I immediately walk out asked them to service it the guy (looking confused) walked in grabbed toilet paper with no cleaning supplies and rubbed the toilet with the dry paper ( visually disgusting) moving the nether region hairs around the toilet seat and then just walking out after flushing that was there method of cleaning. We stood there in shock completely confused not knowing what to say or do but we already paid and they are not keen on refunds. We showered with our shoes on as well as not using their towels which by the way visibly had hairs on them and soapy residue so I guess they just rinse them out and hang dry them I'm not sure. We used our own towels which we brought from home we also used our own washcloth soaps and everything carefully not even placing our dirty clothes on the floor which as we looked down in further inspected also had also had nether region hairs we can only assume animal hair we have no idea what they had in there but the place was totally disgusting as we walked out the place is basically empty nobody really was there. Side note they have keypads on the doors but they do not work they give you regular house keys which I can only imagine they must have a master key so if you do come with a couple remain close by I wouldn't trust to leave your partner in there alone. PS. The reviews that the truckers mentioned about not having coffee is completely accurate there should be coffee where you have the ability to feel your mugs and I do agree with a lot of them that stated some of the uncleanliness of this place it is very poorly ran will not be returning ever if you're going to try to save money you might as well just cough up the other four to five dollars to flying j or loves at least they're knowing for actually having clean restrooms I get that this place may be new but the only reason it looks clean is because it was probably just recently built and they haven't totally...
Read moreTravel plaza was clean and decently well stocked. A nice assortment of snacks and drinks, along with a supply of household items you may not want to drive all the way to "town" for. Offers the basic trucking supplies that one expects to find, some roadpro stuff, straps, logbooks, etc. exercise room contained 1 treadmill and 1 stationary bike, better than nothing. I don't subscribe to salt room stuff but if you're into that, the room itself looks very ambient and pleasant. $40 for 45 minutes seems steep but its not my kinda vibe, so use that information how you will.
Truck parking... idk about, its too close to home for me to attemp to utilize it, but it looks like it is pay to park, and i'm not a fan of that.
Dunkin was not particularly impressive. Coffee was fine, donuts seemed older than one would like, but perfectly edible.
On to the Kurry Grill. I have uploaded photos of the menu. The prices and portions are fair. The tandoori is delicious, but between the tandoori and the curries, the curries are definitely more bang for your buck. The heat level may be uncomfortable for some, but none of the four dishes i tried were above a mild cayenne level of heat. Flavor was great, portion sizes were good, and the price was fair. less than $15 for a meal that isn't a fast food burger and will fill a hungry fella up, is worth it. Overall, i recommend trying the Kurry grill if you're in the area and have a hankering for something other than the normal fast food slop found at truck stops and travel plazas. Naan was not as good as i have had, but it also wasn't the worst naan i've ever had lol.
Owner was very pleasant and when the place got busy, hopped in to help his staff. Kudos to that, "lead...
Read moreI recently visited the UK Travel Plaza, and I was thoroughly impressed! This brand-new facility is exceptionally clean, modern, and well-designed, making it a fantastic stop for travelers and truck drivers alike.
One of the highlights of my visit was the amazing food options. I tried their Indian cuisine, specifically the Chicken Tikka, and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection! In addition to Indian food, they also have Dunkin’ Donuts, Jimmy John’s subs, and pizza, offering a great variety for all tastes.
The entire plaza is well-maintained, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into providing a comfortable and welcoming experience. Whether you’re stopping for fuel, food, or a quick break, this place is top-notch.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! 5 stars...
