El Jalapeno Mexican store and Grill — Restaurant in Clarion

I’ve given this restaurant ample opportunity to prove it’s worth, I will no longer give them my business. We decided on this place for dinner as it was later in the evening (the kitchen at La Tienda Restaurant on Main was closed), I was hesitant because there have been a couple times before where our order was wrong or the quality of the food was simply mediocre, but thought I could have a better experience. My husband and I decided on sharing the molcajete (pictured), it was disappointing, not only the presentation but the flavor. It was a mashup of what I can only assume was all of the described ingredients topped with a jalapeño and the cactus draped along the molcajete. Our server was ok, she wasn’t rude but not friendly either, we tipped her because she did follow up on drinks. I doubt losing my business will make a difference as the store is well stocked, and this business is well liked by more people than not but I wanted to say my piece. The presentation of the food gorgeous! The food was flavorful and amazing. All the worker are kind and they frequently ask how you are doing. The food came out fast as well (under 20 minutes). The only downside was that the rice didn’t have that much flavor.
