D & P Restaurant — Restaurant in Clarksburg

The food I ate was really good. The spaghetti was very tasty and had a generous portion. The meatballs were delicious. The antipasto salad and house Italian dressing was probably one of the best I have had in the area. However, what I experienced there leaves me in a place where I can no longer support this local business. When I ordered my food and was charged at the register, I paid and went to my table to wait. I realized that the total on the receipt was lower than what I ordered. I went back to the counter because I didn't want the sweet elderly lady running register to have her numbers off at the end of the night. I owed $6 more for my food. She was a little confused as to how to remedy the situation with her credit card receipts and register, so she asked the (manager/owner?) man in charge for help. The way this man spoke to her was deplorable! His tone was so mean and hateful. Chastising her for "bothering" him when all she needed to do was simply run my card back through the machine and charge the additional $6. Then he went back to the kitchen where he spoke to another elderly women with the same hateful tone. I asked the cashier if she was ok. And she said "oh yeah he is always like that. It goes in one ear and out the other". I then found out that the other women he treated with so much disrespect was his own mother. It left me so unsettled. I wish I had said something to the man personally. But considering his treatment of women, I am sure it wouldn't have made any difference to him. I broke my heart for those poor women to have to work with this man and be treated like that in front of customers. If he is like that in front of customers what is he like behind...

Was a great place we found going from Ohio back to PA. it was literally the only place we could find that you could dine in. This place is not fancy by any means but let me tell you something. The food was great. The price was reasonable and the chili cheese fries were the best I have ever had. Not overflowing with cheese or chili yet every fry was covered and it was a big portion. If we lived closer I would be there a few times a wk. It was clean and steadily cleaned with bleach as each customer left their table. The bathrooms were VERY clean. Even the toilet paper was better than some fancy places have. Not very talkative ppl there but I don’t mind. I just want good food at a good price and that’s what...

Salad was good, fish sandwich and chicken was ok. Guy in the kitchen was so mean and down right cruel to the staff. Hearing him yell and cuss like that ruined the whole experience. We decided to hurry through the meal and leave because my husband was going to lose his temper and intervene. We won't be eating there again as we are pretty sure that guy is the owner and our money won't knowingly go to someone that treats people...
