Redneck Ranch Restaurant — Restaurant in Clarkson

Had a traumatic experience that will most likely prevent me from ever going back. I was there eating with my son and I got a half chicken and it was delicious, however as we were finishing our meals the waitress looked in on us and asked if we needed anything so I proceeded to look at my empty glass because I was wanting more to drink to help wash the hot sauce out of my mouth. That was when I noticed a huge dead saturated bug on the inside of my glass right above the ice. I said to the waitress "there is a big bug in my drink" so she walked over and looked at the bug and then immediately took my drink with the bug in it and apologized. She said I will talk to the owner and he will make it right. After that no one ever came back to check on us nor did they bring a ticket so after about 10 minutes of waiting I just got up and went to the counter myself. When I went to the counter the owner was standing right there about 2 feet away from me and there were customers sitting at the table across from the counter. Out of politeness I didnt want to disturb those customers but being unsure that the owner had been notified about the bug I mentioned it again to the cashier right in front of the owner by speaking only loud enough for them both to hear asking her if she had saw the bug in my drink and she responded Yes. Then I asked her what kind of bug that was in my drink (again making sure the owner could hear and I'm sure he could because he was listening to our conversation) She answered "I think it was a water bug, we've had a lot of rain lately" I told her I thought it looked like it might be a roach. As the owner is standing there he did not acknowledge the event nor did he even apologize all he did was take the drink off the ticket. I was so grossed out and I was amazed at their lackadaisical response to the incident so after giving it some thought for a couple of days I reported the incident to the health department. I won't say I will NEVER eat there again but when something like that happens I just don't know how I could ever get over it and after telling my wife about it she will absolutely never go there because she is a lot more pickier than me. How does one overcome an experience like that it was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in my life at a restaurant. And by the way, I have NEVER complained on a restaurant in my life but when I see a bug that looks like it might be a roach in my drink I was concerned about people's health so I felt compelled to bring it to the health department's attention. It is unfortunate that this happened because the chicken was really good but I don't think I'll ever get the image of that bug in my glass...

It was a little confusing to get to only because I was looking for a "Redneck Ranch" sign. Once I notice a BBQ sign that said something about Redneck BBQ I went to it and found it. Enough silliness now. The place was awesome! Ed, a retired military veteran, had a great staff and an awesome establishment. Even explained why they don't have mutton. Met some family there in Friday 6/29 (as it close enough to a halfway point) had an awesome meal. This ain't a fast food establishment, don't expect it. Go in order your food and enjoy the atmosphere and service. Great tasting food! Very much worth the money and wait. The squash wad some kind of delicious as was the pulled pork! Look forward to going back a couple more times to try the ribs and catfish. A very big thank you to you Ed and your staff that day!...

I've been here two times, and both times they have delivered! Their beef brisket is so tender and delicious I wish I was eating it right now! You can cover it in one of three original BBQ sauces.. mild, medium, or hot 🔥! The medium and hot are my favorites and I like to mix them together. I have always gotten a side of the potato salad, and a side of baked beans. Both of those hit the ball out of the park! The sweet tea is delicious and they have great coffee also. I have only had one server lady and she is very helpful with answers to all of my questions, and very friendly as well. I have tried the brownies and they have little chocolate chips in them.. strongly suggest for anyone who has a sweet tooth! Overall great experience, I highly recommend, and I will...
