We stopped into the Saloon the other night on our way home from work and my boyfriend and I had a terrific time listening to live music, chatting with regulars, and checking out the local pictures on the walls. The place is decorated top to bottom (there are truly boots and bras hanging all around) and it's just full of a fun and friendly vibe. Even a small library of books in the corner next to the skill-claw grab-machine game (which is stocked full of stuffed animals and some adult prizes).

Standing in line for about 15 minutes with money in my hand with no response from the bartender. Finally two guys in line tell her I was before them and she comes on over. I tell her I've been waiting and I understand that's it's been busy and she gives me the worst attitude and told me that if I wanted to drink I should go back outside to the wine festival. Read moreThis little local bar is lots of fun. Unlike most small "dive" bars, this place has a ton of character. It doesn't just look like a cowboy bar, from the old west town exterior to the boots hanging from the ceiling, it actually is. They have a real, modern hitching post out back for horses, which I have seen in use multiple times. The main crowd is very California country and very welcoming.
