7 Stars Family Restaurant - Clear Lake — Restaurant in Clear Lake

Perhaps I’m too used to higher quality food from where I’m from, but it’s hard to like the food here. I had the waffle with fruit and bacon. 1) the waffle was clearly just a mix, 2) they opened a can of peaches and put a few from the can on top of the waffle, 3) the whipped topping was from a can, and 4) the bacon, which was very thin, tasted as though it was cooked in a pan containing old grease from previously cooked bacon. Very overpriced for what I got. My husband got an omelette and when he used the hot sauce from the table, it was very clear from sight alone (let alone from the taste) that it had been watered down. His omelette had zero seasoning and was supposed to have bacon and ham and he couldn’t find either in the omelette. He said the rye toast was good though. Not sure how this place has gotten so many good reviews ….

Truly not sharing this negative news just to be negative. I’m hoping my words will help the owners to rethink their ingredients, and help them make better choices. Cook the hashbrowns in butter, for instance, not vegetable oil…. I’m sure this place COULD be very good if methods and ingredients were better, and corners weren’t...

Stopped in for breakfast after reading reviews. Just passing through. We will mark this place on the map.

Three of us walked in at 7:50am on a Friday morning and walked out at 8:20 COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

ALL 3 of our meals were excellent. Total bill was $29. Great coffee to go along with the warm maple syrup. Great menu and 6 different specials to choose from. Between the three of us we had a breakfast sandwich, an omelette, hashbrowns, pancakes and cinnamon French toast. Bacon and sausage as well. ALL OF IT WAS GREAT.

The service was extremely friendly and freaky fast! We were blown away! On top of the friendly staff and quick service, along with the tasty food, I have to say the bathrooms are spotless. They are currently remodeling the bathroom areas and doing a wonderful job.

Overall, this place hit the spot so to say and it's one that will be starred on my map for the next trip this way.

The four of us entered what looked like a busy place but we got seated right away. Our waitress seemed to take a little longer than usual to greet us and take our drink order so when she came we gave her our drinks and food order. 5 stars for how fast our meals came to our table. 3 stars for our waitress. I ordered 2 slices of Texas French Toast and got 4 slices of regular toast. I ate it anyway, everyone enjoyed their meal. Our table was cleared and so we waited for our ticket. We waited to the point where I sent my kids to the car and went to the register to pay. The clerk had to find the waitress, complete the total and then when I told her that my order was wrong, in front of the waitress, I didn't even get a, "Sorry about that.", or any acknowledgement from the waitress. I will go back but next time I hope to get a little...
