I think I have found my quiet little breakfast spot. I stopped in the day before and was so impressed by everything this restaurant offered. First the service was so warm and inviting, I was greeted and seated upon entering, and the girl who was assigned to me was so friendly when she greeted me and also had a smile. Great attitude and great customer service not just with me , I watched the staff interact and talk with other people who seemed to have made this Cafe their quiet little spot as well, and seeing returning customers is always a positive sign.. Next the food. I had the key west crepes which were phenomenal! Came exactly as described and not only did the visual aspect of the dish delight me but the taste was just so pure and natural, which is an even better sign to see in which it shows the restaurants capability of using natural ingredients vs processed and bagged food items. I also had 2 eggs sunny side up a cup of fruit and an order of white toast. All the food was so very tasty, the portions were just right and one of the best things is that I watched as customers came and went, even local law enforcement group has made this Cafe their go to and for good reason.. The atmosphere is so friendly and warm, it is not loud or crazy like so many places can be, they have a great menu that's perfect, it has excellent choices for breakfast and lunch and is even open till 8 pm except Sunday and Monday so if you need something even just a little passed traditional dinner time stop in and grab something to go or if you still have a little time left to sit and stay while you eat, either way you will have great friendly service with food to match. I do believe I have found my little quiet cafe that I have been searching for a long...
Read moreI was on my way to spend the day with my granddaughter but wanted a bite to eat before picking her up. I found Remy's by accident really when I pulled into a Publix parking lot. Remy's seems to be a big hit with the Largo Police Department as 6 of their vehicles were parked outside. I thought this was probably the safest place in town to have breakfast so I went inside. There were a few people waiting at tables and only one waitress working. I figured it was going to be a wait but she told me to seat myself and she'd be right with me. When you walk in there are 2 dining areas, one to the right, one to the left. The cops were seated on the right side dining area and I never saw them. I was seated to the left. The place was clean, brightly lit and had a welcoming atmosphere. Soon the waitress was at my table with a menu. She asked what I wanted to drink and quickly returned with an ice cold Coke. I wanted a western omlet but Remy's doesn't make them. But she put in my order for a western and to my surprise they made a perfect western omlet, beacon on the side and fruit. Give it a ten for being delicious and also for being filling but not too filling. Just right. Also gotta give the waitress a 10 for getting my order right and not getting thrown by something that wasn't on the menu. Another nice touch was she was able to run my credit card right there at the table so I was able to pay before the order was served. All in all I would return to Remy's if I lived in the neighborhood. But it's definitely on my must return to list. ...
Read moreRemy's is hands down my favorite restaurant in this area of Clearwater. They have great breakfast options, salads, sandwiches, omelets, and more. I have been here about a dozen times over the years, and I have never been disappointed with my food.
Pay attention to the monthly specials (there are typically four). They have had some incredible ones. This August they had a burnt end turkey skillet that was one of my favorite dishes to date.
You also cannot go wrong with their regular menu items. My favorites include the Cobb Salad with Blackened Chicken (I don't know what they put on the chicken.. but I crave it), the Remy's Omelet, and the Remy's Breakfast Burrito. My brother loves the benedicts and crepes. They have some drool worthy sweet options if that is your thing (Sundae Waffle and Creme Brulee French Toast to name two of many).
They also have many gluten free items including toast and blueberry muffins.
Remy's is normally busy, but the service is top notch. As a matter of fact, I just found out that my favorite waiter is also the owner! He works hard, is patient, kind, and makes our experience here even better. I have never had to wait long for a table, even when there is a line at the door. There is a decent amount of space on the inside and service is fast.
On top of everything else, they have a loyalty rewards program. I earn money off future visits when I eat here. I also received $5 off for my birthday.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Remy's. It will remain my go to when I...
