San Miguel Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Cleburne

Small restaurant, maybe 10 tables. There were only two other couples there and they were struggling to keep up. Two waitresses and one cook. The food wasn't bad, on par with other Mexican places in town. Good deals on daily specials. The only thing I would complain about is that I didn't hear any cooking going on in the kitchen (yes, you are within ear shot of the kitchen) and there was almost nobody there to eat, so I assume the food was already prepared? How long had it been sitting there? Also, to melt the cheese on the nachos and enchiladas they microwaved it instead of putting the food in the broiler. Which I feel is just lazy and sub...

It's was better than most all of the mexican restaurants in Joshua, except for Burrito Loco of course. 🌯 The food was good, their Barbaco and frijoles a la Chara are the best food items that I have tried up to date. The burritos, chips and salsa were just ok. The red fire sauce in the little plastic containers is absolutely phenomenal! The best I have ever had in Texas. The green sauce is good and not over powering. Service was good until I ordered something to go and my waitress turned into a puffy McPufferson. I felt like I was intruding on her time, and had become a burden. It was ok over all. I'll definitely be back for the beans...

Quaint restaurant, small parking area not a problem if you arrive early. Waitress was really friendly and attentive. Tacos had good flavor, however they were quite greasy. The chile relleno was horrible, had to send it back. Pepper didn't look fresh, brown spots on the flesh. The breading was mushy and overall unappealing. They were quick to replace the order with a different menu item. The "charro" beans were extremely subpar. Didn't taste fresh and there were small cut up hot dogs in them. There was no flavor or seasoning to them. Rice was okay but again...
