The service was amazing. Everyone was attentive and very professional. The food was excellent (as it should be). The only problem I had was that I called and made a reservation for a booth so my wife and I could have at least a little bit of privacy.( We had just eloped that day) When we got there I checked in at the host stand and then we went to the bar. We had 7pm reservations. They never even came to the bar to get us. Finally around an hour later, I had to go and ask about our table. The restaurant has gotten busy and there was no booth available. There were several open when we got there. They sat us in the middle of the dining room at a tiny table sandwiched in between two other tables that were already eating. The manager was very professional and offered to pay for our appetizer. The server was very apologetic. As was the rest of the staff. Even though I didn't make a big deal out of it. That was very nice of them but that wasn't the experience I wanted to pay $400 for. Have no problem w the bill. I expected to spend that kind of money. I can't help but feel like it wasn't what I paid for.

Had an amazing birthday dinner with one of my girlfriends at Rick Erwin’s! We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Jackson, the bartender super nice and very knowledgeable, especially when it came to food allergies, which I really appreciated. We also got to meet the GM, Eric, who introduced himself and made sure everything was perfect. We both had the Steak Frites SO good. And my favorite drink of all time, the Amelia Earhart, did not disappoint. My friend Alison is obsessed with the Sunday Bloody Sunday, too. And a little side note—- Rick Erwin’s is the only place I can eat a steak without needing steak sauce, and if you know me, that’s a big deal. Highly recommend this spot for great food, drinks, and service.

10 STARS if possible!!!!!!!! They provided us with top notch service, Breathtakingly delicious food and even a customized Birthday card for me! Such a sweet gesture! I can't get over how great of an experience we had thanks to Peyton, Bradley and Martin!!! Everyone really. Great teamwork! Your drinks we're never even half empty before they came to refill them. 🍤As a group of 7, we ate the Fried green tomato, Deviled eggs and Shrimp cocktail for Appetizers. 🥩Duck Linguine, Surf and Turf (Lobster & Scallops), Roasted Chicken, Ribeye and Mac n cheese for Entrees. 🎂Pumpkin cheesecake, Pana Cotta and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream for desert. 🥳Best birthday dinner EVER!!!🥳

I’ve been here three times in the last month. I first want to lead this feedback stating that the SERVICE AT THIS PLACE IS GREAT AS YOU SHOULD EXPECT GIVEN THE PRICES. The quality of the cocktails are the best we’ve found within 40 min drive. I am however disappointed with the kitchen, time and time again. My first visit was for a sit down dinner with my wife as a date. The steak and lobster showed up over cooked but warm’ish, not warm or hot. Since the drinks were so great I brought my wife back the next week this time trying out the bar. The “house chips” were great and I felt compelled to try the “shrimp tacos”.... shame on me for going for shrimp tacos at a steak house but SHAME ON THEM for selling two terrible “shrimp tacos” for $12. The tortillas were almost translucent from being soaked in oil, and no it wasn’t from the juices of anything in that taco. (I’m from Austin TX and I don’t expect perfect tacos in SC, but I expect better than that anytime) They were absolutely the worst tacos I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever, I think Jack in the Box has them beat. We then went back this past week purchasing the $65 seafood sampler as an appetizer at the bar... for an ALL COLD sampler of seafood, it was Ok. The take aways ?... I won’t order seafood from this place anymore and I’m not convinced I’ll get a steak worth my money ever.

I’m $315 in at this point but I will be back for the service. Unfortunately as typical SC fashion, I guess I will stick to food from the fryer...

We can’t say enough good things about our evening at Rick Erwins. It was an A+ experience from start to finish. My husband and I were traveling from Tybee Island to Clemson to pick up a puppy from a local breeder. I researched where to eat and chose Rick Erwins. I absolutely made the right choice! I have always believed that an evening out starts with making the reservation and that was the case with Rick Erwins. I requested a quiet table since I have some hearing issues and the delightful young woman who made the reservation assured me that she could accommodate the request. We were seated at an end table and, while the restaurant was jam-packed at 7:15 on a Saturday night, we could easily carry on a conversation while enjoying our drinks and dinner. The service was outstanding, the restaurant’s atmosphere and interiors are lovely, the food was delicious and the craft drinks, suggested by our knowledgeable server, were on the mark. It is obvious that the staff are all well trained and that they enjoy their jobs. Having worked 35 years in the hospitality industry, I appreciate and acknowledge top notch service and that is what we received at Rick Erwins. If and when we return to the Clemson area, we will definitely eat at Rick...

My girlfriends and I are celebrating a bachelorette at Lake Keowee over the Fourth of July weekend and searched for a fine dining restaurant for a nice night out. We made a reservation at Rick Erwin’s Clemson and we are so pleased with our choice! One of our girls had to cancel last minute but called the restaurant to order a bottle of champagne for us. When we arrived, they had the bottle chilled and waiting for us at our table. From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for a treat! Every dish we ordered was amazing and perfectly cooked. But what made our experience even better was the service! We had Luke as our server and he was just an absolute doll. He made excellent food and drink suggestions and took such great care of us the entire evening. There was a wedding going on in another part of the restaurant while we were there and we would not have known if we hadn’t seen them going in because it didn’t affect the quality of the food or service at all. This was the best dinner experience we could have asked for to celebrate our bride. We even got to have a quick chat with Rick Erwin! If you’re ever in upstate South Carolina, do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant and ask for Luke! We can’t wait...
