My family and I went to APG on Saturday. We were seated immediately. (730)10 minutes later, the waitress came and took our drinks orders. Roughly 5 minutes after that (7:45), she came back and took our dinner orders. My son order salmon, the boyfriend order a Philly steak and fries and I order pork bites with a load bake potato. At 8:15 she refilled our drinks and said your order will be out next. From the time we sat down 3 / 4 more couple and a party of 4 had came in by now. At 8:27 she came to the table and side let me go check on your order. She came out the kitchen with the order for the couple that came in after us. At 8:37 my son ask another waitress to check on our food. She said our waitress was in the kitchen about to bring it out. At 8:43 the waitress come with the food for another table. She checks on us I ask how much long because it been an hour. She state she knows and hopefully shortly. I told her at this point I was ready to go. More people had enter the building the host told them they where closing at 9pm tonight and proceed to seat them. At 8:57 the waitress tell me that we could have a slice of cake for free and would see what she could take off the tickets since it's been over and hour and we still didn't have our food. At 9:13 she brings us our food and my mash (you read mash right) potatoes where cold. And she didn't bring me a knife for my steak. I informed her if that she said she'd get me something else. However, at that point, I was upset and ready to go. I asked for a to go tray, and while waiting on it, the 2 men gobbled down their food. She brought the ticket apologize and I saw their was a 10% discount. She said the kitchen must be upset with her because they made 2 of her tables wait. We paid and still left a tip. When I was leaving out the party of 4 was also getting up to pay...
Read moreThe first time I walked in here, there was only one other table I could see dining. It's a large hall and it was Tequila Tuesday so half off on all Tequila drinks. When we asked if we could get margaritas, they were out.. so we asked what other tequila drinks they would recommend and the server said he had no idea, because he didn't drink tequila. Okayyy so we decided we didn't need drinks (what?) and tried to order some food. I had read some reviews before coming so I asked how long it would take for our sandwiches and our reply was 25-30 minutes so we left.
The second time I came, I was with a group on a scheduled bonding outing, so basically I didn't have a choice. I tried ordering two beers off the extensive beer list before I realized it was very outdated, but they did have Harp, with a different label mind you, but still they had it. They have TVs and a stage with live music on some weekends as well as at least one pool table. Their bar unfortunately had no taps though, or at least that's what they told us. Odd that a bar&grill wouldn't have any beers on tap.
It still took about 30 minutes before everyone got their food and the fried crawfish po'boy wasn't bad, but super salty. The Louisiana chips were actual potato chips with heaps of cheese, salad, ground beef, and crawfish sauce on top. The fried corn fritters were just like I thought they would be and the fried pickles weren't bad. The fried mojos (jalapenos) were awesome, but after about 10 I couldn't eat anymore. They are spicy, but it was more because I was just eating too many fried things in one meal. The same server came by a few times to ask if we needed anything which was nice, but overall $19 for dine-in Harp (Ireland), corn fritters, and a crawfish po'boy...
Read moreFood took entirely too long , service was bad all together. After a long day of handling business at a college me and my family decided to try this restaurant. The reviews looked great but my experience was totally different. Our server, Erica , wasted our time. We sat at 11 , and didn’t get out drinks until 12:30. Our food was digusting and took an additional hour. Not to mention the racist activity. Walking to the bathroom , I couldn’t help but notice the slave photos hung up as if it was a flex of how black people were treated back then. Then it was the biggest photo hung up. I order chicken tenders and it was disgusting , it tasted like fish. As a person who cooks how could you fry chicken in the same batter as fish, you have no respect for your customers and now we see. When waiting for our food we looked over at the people who sat beside us , who were white. And got their drinks in two minutes. Also the sweet tea tasted disgusting , and Dr Pepper tastes like a Pepsi with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Please if you are black or just a person all together do not go to this...
