Stopped by one day for lunch at the suggestion of a coworker. It's just a little place, but there's a good sized sign so you can't miss it. The inside is a bit rough, and it won't win any interior decorating competitions, but that's just fine. It's a pick-up BBQ place, no need to be fancy. The warm, smoky air is a nice touch. Gets you in the mood for food real quick.
While they do have larger plates of food, there are also plenty of smaller options for those less hungry. I didn't want a big meal today, so I opted for a spicy beef Polish Boy and a small side of Mac n/ Cheese. ($7.25)
The sandwich was quite sloppy. It was nice and warm, but the heat basically disintegrated the bun. The foil held it together, though. I would have liked the fries to be a little more done, but the sausage was tasty, and the sauce was pretty balanced. The Mac n' Cheese was nice and hot. Nothing special, just a solid mac dish.
Overall I think this place is pretty solid for the price. I would like to go back again when I have a larger appetite and try some of their ribs and chicken. It's nice having a place like this close to work where I can grab a quick meal, and not suffer through fast food. I will keep them in mind!
