El Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Cleveland

I wouldn't even give it 1 star the place is disgustingly dirty and the food is absolutely horrible. Their salsa was like someone dumped tomato puree in a bowl with some cilantro. I ordered steak and it was worse than leather and then the waitress informed me all of the steak has been sent back in the past few days for the same reason as mine. My son ordered street tacos and the steak on that looked dried out like it was sitting for hours he sent his back and got chicken. I sent mine back FULL PLATE 1 bite which I couldn't even chew and didn't get anything because if they messed up meat on 2 dishes chances are whatever they bring me will be the same. The worst part is they actually had the nerve to charge me 9.99 for the meal I sent back that wasn't edible. I used to go here all of the time and my husband and I will never step foot in this place again it's a dump the food is disgusting and their business practices obviously are ridiculous. When they first opened it was great and it went down hill after the first year. Don't bother going to the Mannford one either it's a duplicate DUMP! I also ordered a burger and 2 tacos to bring home to my husband and everything was soggy. Lets just say my husband was a tad bit agitated because this wasn't his first bad experience at this place. He warned me not to go again and I didn't listen. Needless to say I spent $50 for lunch for 3 of us and make it 2 because I didn't eat. I would have been better off buying a package of bar S hot dogs which are nasty too. As you can see I'm not happy with my experience and it saddens me writing this because Cleveland is a small town and there's not many places to eat. I would love to see my town thrive but, such a shame. I'm still trying to figure out all of these great reviews here either people are paid to do so or they never ate good food in their entire life. I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe because there's NO WAY this dump deserves even 1 star. I swear they must have thrown the dishwasher in the kitchen because the chef called out sick. Whoever, they have in the kitchen obviously...

Stopped in for lunch Sunday Dec 3. Ordered a chicken chimi dinner. Chips and salsa was good. Service was a bit lacking.. And Chimi dinner was obviously leftover from previous day. Waitress was to busy doing whatever they do on the empty side of the restaurant to come back except once when she finally reappeared and i was able to wave her over. First asked if the salad on the plate was suppose to have guacomole on it. She said no. This is the very first time ever at the multitudes of Mexican restaurants ive been to that served salad with out guacomole on it. Hence the term Guacomole salad! Refried beans where obviously straight out of the refrigerator..was absolutely cold not even an effort to microwave them. Told waitress ..all she said was "oh really" And walked off .. didn't even bother to tell the cooks. The chicken on the Chimi was dry and some was even hard. Obviously there food is left over from day before and served . So to sum it all up...This place's food sucks and the waitress needs to find a more...

My family went here tonight for dinner. 4/20/21 at 7:10pm The waitress, Danielle was great. Took care of our drinks and all the rest. Checked on us often. But the cook needs to learn how to cook a steak medium rare. That is what I ordered, Esparza Especial , medium rare. When I got it and cut it, blood run out. Bout made me sick. The waitress took it back to the cook to finish cooking it and all he did was to burn the outside of it. Brought it back, cut into it, blood. The waitress took it back and the cook, cooked another one. Guess what still red, real red. Still to much red , not medium rare. So I just got a go box, brought it home and finished cooking it. Really ruined my family dinner. The cook needs to learn how to cook a steak medium well without burning it. Yes I will...
