We started dinner with traditional old fashioneds—nothing to write home about, but they did the job. After a quick glance at the salad bar, we decided to go for the French Onion soup instead. And let me tell you, it was freaking amazing. Now, onto the real star of the show: dinner. I had the roasted duck with mashed potatoes and cabbage, while my husband went for the walleye with loaded taters. Let me tell you, these meals were next level. The duck was tender and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy, and the cabbage added the perfect bite. As for the walleye and those loaded potatoes—OMG, they were so good we practically needed a moment of silence to appreciate them. To top it all off, we treated ourselves to a grasshopper, and it was the cherry on top of an already perfect meal. This place absolutely nails it when it comes to food. If you're looking for a dinner that’ll make you want to high-five the chef, this is the place!

This is difficult for me to write because I love supper clubs. We went 45 minutes out to try this one and it was recommended. The first 30 minutes were great and the bartender deserves an award for her hustle tonight. Drinks were amazing and reasonably priced. But after that, things went south. We were told we’d have a table at 6pm, and there were plenty, but we were finally sat at 6:45 after we asked. Waited another 15 minutes to meet our server. Salad bar is good, not amazing, but we were starving. Never saw our server after that. None of the servers seemed very friendly. The baked French Onion soup was amazing.

First visit and a return customer for sure! I was a little worried about the food due to some reviews citing lack of flavor, but I didn't have that issue at all. My steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Seasoning was fine, mushrooms were spectacular. The cut of meat you get really makes a difference in overall flavor and fat content. I will say the only gripe I had was that my steak was served with a bottle of A1... I love steak sauce, don't get me wrong, but a truly great steak doesn't need it and mine didn't! Thank you for a wonderful date night!

We made a reservation for 7:00 pm and arrived 30 minutes early for a cocktail. The bar was VERY busy. The 2 bartenders were working very efficiently. I thought the price of the cocktails was appropriate for the quality. Exactly at 7:00 they called our name and we were seated. The waitress introduced herself and asked if we needed anything else to drink besides water. She then read the specials and asked if we needed more time. We said no and ordered. She brought us our water and a carafe so that we could keep ourselves hydrated. She then told us that we could go to the salad bar at our leisure. The salad bar was OK. Not a lot of fixin's, but enough to make a nice salad. (could have eggs and mushrooms) There were also lentil soup and black forest. Both of which were tasty and hardy. When the entrees arrived we were impressed by the size of the "lite" prime rib. The pork chop dinner was very tasty and very juicy. The waitress came back at least 2 times to see if we needed anything and then brought us boxes for leftovers. AND asked if we had any room for desert. We initially said no, but she read a list of the deserts and talked us into ordering the schaum torte with 6 spoons. I don't know if the ice cream and toppings were oversized due to our group request, but the portion that was brought to us was enormous. We were VERY satisfied with the entire experience and will...

Went with my wife for a mid-week date. Got there a little before 5, not really busy. Sat at the bar for a drink and asked for menus. My wife decided on the tenderloin tips and I went for the porterhouse. Waited to get our order in and noticed people going to the dining room that had gotten there after we did. Asked the bartender if we could order and she figured that we had talked to the hostess in the dining room. Nope, didn't realize that is what we were supposed to do. Almost 6:30 before we got seated. The salad bar was great, alot of choices. Soups were great to, tried a very tasty black forest soup. When the entrées arrived I couldn't believe how good they looked. Cut into my huge steak and it was cooked perfectly, actually medium rare! The taste was amazing! I'm used to getting mediocre steaks when I order at a restaurant but this was tasty and tender. Was too full to try the schaum tort, really wanted to because it's not something that you see on any menus. My wife's tips we great also, big mushrooms and an excellent gravy. Can't wait to go back again but next time I'll make sure to check in with...

We had reservations, and had a group of 17 people in our party. The waitresses were great! They were attentive and clearly knew how to coordinate a larger group. The food was good, nothing special, and on the blander side, but the portions were large. Not including the tip we spent over $500 easily on the meal. If it had not been for our great waitresses my rating would have been much lower though, because after we paid the check they TOLD us we HAD to leave our table. They didn't request, they Told us. They said we could go sit in the bar. First of all, the bar was packed, and secondly there were no tables in the bar area where we could have fit. We were not allowed to sit and visit at our table. When I complained to the owner, she said we were there long enough, and wasting table space for their customers. REALLY! What were we? You did see how much we spent, not counting the tip right? They just lost 17 paying guests in one swoop! I hope it...
