Crystal Pines Restaurant — Restaurant in Clifford Township

On my last day at Crystal Lake I wanted to experience the food culture. While dining at Crystal Pines, my family and I ordered 4 different meals. I (the daughter) ordered the Shrimp Scampi as well as my brother. My father ordered the Scallop Scampi and my mother ordered a Porter House steak. My brother and I’s order was UNAPPETIZING. The pasta was just pasta with butter and a couple shrimp on it. The shrimp were alright but overall it wasn’t the best. ON THE OTHER HAND, my dads Scallop Scampi was DISGUSTING. The scallops were so bad I don’t even know how to put it in words. Although my mother did not ask for any sauce on her steak, she didn’t expect it to be TASTELESS. Anyways, I loved the water leak on the roof it was top tier entertainment. Did I mention the appetizers? The stuffed clam literally tasted like garlic bread but burnt, and the stuffed mushroom was 🤮. This review will probably be deleted. But if I am going to be 100% honest. The food here was horrible. The only thing that was actually decent was the salad. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The porterhouse had no flavor and the pasta with shrimp had no taste either. It just tasted like plain butter. The scallops were also really awful. The appetizers only tasted like fried garlic! Honestly I think the food is too expensive for not even decent...
