I honestly think the only reason this place has four stars is because people don’t have the heart to rate truthfully. Very laid back rural personality about the place...they take a bit to get to you and don’t really say anything until they do, but they did turn out to be very nice folks. Unfortunately, you get very small portions of less than subpar food for a high price that can only be explained by the cuteness/uniqueness of the diner and being situated next to a hotel. The “vegetable” soup was full of hamburger and cold, and the shakes tasted like milk and ice. Sadly, cute is the most positive thing I can say about the diner. It is not very clean and in need of repairs. I’ve been in cleaner gas station bathrooms...and there were literally baby spiders falling down from the ceiling while we were eating. Sadly, we would not eat here again without a serious overhaul of the building and...

The food and atmosphere were great. We were there on labor day. There were 2 ladies working. One was younger cooking and taking care of things as fast as she could. On the other hand the older woman named Terry didn't help at all. She even got angry at the younger lady for asking if she could please help. She didn't refill our drinks even after being asked by us and the lady cooking. We actually asked for cups to go because we didn't get any during the meal. There were 5 other guests. She talked on the phone most of the visit. A man walked in past her and sat down. The lady cooking ask her to please get his order and check every one for refills. I heard her go over and say..I don't know why you are bothering me with this. First thing I will do if I go back is to see if she is there. If she's the only help for the sweet cook lady, I'm...

This was possibly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Five of my friends and I came to eat, and there was only one other group in the restaurant. We all work in the food and beverage industry. We asked for milkshakes and our waitress told us they were completely out of ice cream. Our waitress then left to go home, leaving the only cook to take care of our group. We then watched him make a milkshake for the other group in the restaurant. We finally got his attention and asked for milkshakes which he offered to make for us to go. Even though this is a 24 hour restaurant, we felt pushed out the door and were never checked on, never offered refills, and basically had to chase someone down to ask for milkshakes a second...

We stopped as a family of 5. It is hard to fit more than four due to the size of the place. We made it work, but it was a bit squishy. Food wise was great, what you would expect from a small American restaurant. They had classics as well as some fun dishes. We had Chocolate, and Strawberry shakes with our meals, which were excellent. Service was average. The waitress checked on us a few times even though they were pretty busy, and she didn't have much help. Atmosphere-wise, as I said earlier, it is a small joint—bar-type seating or booths. The booths were small. We fit 5, but two of those people were under 12. The menus were old and could use a replacement. Other than that, the classic feel was there for sure.

Though the food was a bit off (*1) the morning of our visit I still kinda dig this place. It has a lot of potential. And it’s located is beautiful. Also, the host/waitress was as sweet as she could be. We will definitely give it another try. (*1) The wife and I like our hash-browns very crispy, and we shared that with the waitress. Unfortunately the cook didn’t prepare them that way. As a matter of fact, they were actually a little underdone. Same thing with the toast… Could’ve used another 30 seconds in the toaster.

Stopped in for Dinner after a very rough workweek. What an amazing end to a hard day. Best customer service ever, our waiter was friendly, helpful, fun and took great care of us. He made the prettiest ice cream brownie sundae ever too, truly a work of art. Our burgers were incredible. Perfectly cooked, very fresh, looked as great as they tasted, and the cook had such a positive and fun personality. The entire staff had us smiling, I definitely found my new favorite spot to eat.
