I had called what I thought was Hot Bagels to place an order for my husband to pick up. I was greeted with a very rude man on the other end of the phone. He stopped me mid order and told me that my order was too small and they were too busy and I needed to come in and place it. I told them we would just go somewhere else because that's ridiculous. So my husband went in to go speak to them, and it turned out I had called a different bagel place nearby and not Hot Bagels. The management was super nice and gave us our breakfast for free because they said no buisness should talk to their customers like that. They didn't have to do that and was insanely nice to compensate for a completely different establishment. Amazing customer service and we will be frequent customers. Read moreI got an order from them through an app designed to help restaurants recoup some of the losses they would experience from leftovers, while simultaneously reducing food waste. I stood at the counter a few minutes and would have appreciated some acknowledgement from them, it felt kinda of rude to me (but I have spent the last 15 yrs in Texas- where everyone is almost too friendly). Although they seemed a bit grumpy at first, they were more friendly after a few minutes (I think I might have shown up while they were in the middle of preparing an order for someone. )
The surprise bag I purchased was very generous! And the food was tasty. i picked this up before I planned dinner and was able to use the bread/rolls with dinner. And the muffins were a perfect dessert! I'll be trying bagels as a snack...
Read moreI walked in there yesterday for the first time in a while thanks to the pandemic. It was a bit surprising to see they have not added plexiglass to the counter area. Several minutes passed before a young man took my order for two bagels with spreads. After about fifteen minutes of watching the entire staff hover around the grill station (no one attending to the bagels), I asked the same young man when my order would be ready. He could not find my slip and asked who had taken my order and totally denied helping me! No apologies, just stared at me. Nobody seemed to care.
