Jake's Elk Lake Tavern — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I haven’t been to jakes in a long time and last night was my friends 21st birthday. We sat at a table that was connected to the bar and the blonde bartender with glasses came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We gave our orders then waited a couple minutes before another bartender came over to ID us properly which the blonde one should have done in the first place. Then the brunette bartender gave us a list of their special drinks. We were going to order food because their kitchen closes later and we ended up grabbing the bill instead because both of the bartenders would not pay attention to us! In my opinion if you like country music and an older crowd then this is your bar to go to. I’m not quite sure why that one bartender also didn’t perform her simple job correctly and ID my friend and I. Instead she got another bartender over to do it and then didn’t have the audacity to even look out direction the rest of the time we were there. The food here was very good, especially the bacon ranch chicken wrap!! Depending on the bartender, service was either good or bad. Same goes for the atmosphere. During the day its fine, but at night no one knows how to behave and I would not recommend going here if you arent local. When we walked in on our first night staying in the area, random strangers commented stuff like “oh look the party just arrived” and so on. Came here with family to have lunch, the customer service was terrible (rude lady with glasses). Immediately from the start we got dirty looks, she screamed at my wife because she said oh we already know what we would like to eat but she yelled in her face I’m doing drinks first, then she told us they were out of food like what your a restaurant?! glad we didn’t need refills because she didn’t even ask if we wanted more sodas. And to top it off when the Stromboli came out she threw it on table without plates or utensils. We will never be back avoid...
