The Bluebird 2 Diner — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I wish that I could leave zero stars. The blue bird used to be the best place around it used to even be my favorite, it is no longer. The past few visits have gotten worse and worse but this was the worst restaurant experience that I’ve ever had. We waiting for around five minutes to get our menus and drinks. Once we ordered we sat patiently waiting on our food for over an hour for (an omelet with some sides and number 5 on the breakfast menu) we couldn’t believe it was taking this long because it was quite empty. Once the hour mark hit of zero waitresses coming by I decided to walk up to the counter and ask for my food, she explained that they misplaced my order. After our order was finally sent back we waited another half an hour to get our food which was very wrong. I didn’t get my one side and we both got hash browns instead of home fries. That would be excusable but the eggs were very underdone and watery the toast was overdone. We asked for a new coffee because the creamer was spoiled and had curds floating, but we never received a replacement coffee.

So after waiting there for two hours (with near zero service while the waitresses were constantly checking in on and joking around with multiple tables that had come and gone), wrong food, bad food, spoiled food, and even missing food the waitress charged us full price that even for the food that we didn’t get. We were still very nice about it so we went to check out, they removed the food that we did not receive but said they could not give us a discount. The waitresses have been the same ones for years, but it seems as the food gets more expensive the worse the restaurant gets.

I came in to pick up a to go order, I was on the phone with my brother who kept trying to FaceTime with me, so I was getting upset and said please stop I’m waiting for Someone to wait on me, this waitress butt into my conversation and gave me attitude and was Like she’ll be right with you and rolled her eyes !!! First of all I wasn’t even talking to her, second of all I had no problem waiting for my food, third of all she shouldn’t have ran into the kitchen afterwards like a coward so I could have given her a piece of my mind. Don’t give someone attitude if you don’t know the context. I come in at least once every two weeks and have never gotten this kind of attitude before from a waitress. She must have been feeling guilty about something if she could give a paying customer attitude. I did apologize to the waitress who waited on me and gave her a tip, I also stated if that waitress came out I was going to flip out on her. I was so mad I was literally shaking. Stopped yesterday for a late lunch. The service was some of the worst I ever had. We had to wait for over 5 minutes to order our food, because the waitress was busy blabbing to another customer about her problems in life. I now know more about her, than I do myself. When she finally made it over to take our order, she couldn't remember the sides we could get with our meals. Offered substitutes because she couldn't remember. As we were eating we were never offered refills on our drinks. When our food came out, part of our order was missed, never came out of the kitchen until after we were done eating, standing by the register to pay our bill. (And guess what? We were waiting on the waitress , who was currently messing up another customers order! ) DISORGANIZED AND INCOMPETENT!
