China House Of Clinton — Restaurant in Clinton

I recently visited China House of Clinton, and the food has improved since my last visit, so I am updating my previous review. The restaurant offers standard Chinese cuisine for the Midwest area, but the quality of the food is quite decent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is small and cozy, which is perfect for a quiet meal with your loved ones. However, with my previous visits, I found that the menu needed more clarity regarding the coconut shrimp, which was not fried as I had expected; instead, it was creamy. Also, I was disappointed to learn that fried shrimp was not included in the menu, although it could be explicitly requested. Despite these minor issues, the overall dining experience was good, given the value for money. While it may not be the best Asian cuisine I've ever had, I would recommend the China House of Clinton to anyone looking for a decent Chinese restaurant...

I was passing through town on my way from Springfield back to Kansas City and it was fairly late and I didn’t want fast food… so after a google search I stumbled upon this place. I called in the order and the nicest lady picked up the phone and took my to go order. She was just as friendly in person and we had a great chat and I told her that if this was as good as it looked and smelled I’d be writing a review immediately. She was certain I’d be happy with my choice.

So here I am…. JUST WOW. I have a high bar for Chinese food and this may have been the best I’ve ever had. I reluctantly let my husband eat some leftovers when I got home and he agreed! We will absolutely drive an hour just to come eat here in the near future.

We have gone to the restaurant many times. Today we went in around 1115am. Nobody welcomed us, nor asked what we wanted to drink. We found a table in the back corner for quietness, we bring my wives service dog with us everywhere we go. We went and fixed our plates. We sat down and started to eat. The food was either cold or barely warm. A waitress came by and asked how our meal was. I told her that we were disappointed. She walked off and never came back. We ate what we could. We got up and I went to pay the bill. The staff didn't care about my meal. The staff didn't want to make anything right. Half off would have been better than, nothing. We will never be back. If I could go lower than one...
