I'm usually the type to let things be when I receive bad customer service or food, but I just couldn't do it THIS time!
Long story short, my son and I frequented this business yesterday..It took me a WHOLE day to cool off from this incident to make an informed post, because customers need to know!!
YOU MAY BE CHARGED A TIP FEE WHEN YOU PAY WITH CARD!
I ordered our food, used a debit card and was given a receipt for $25.98.
A few minutes later, I got a text stating $31.14 was taken from my account.
I patiently waited for our food. The young lady who gave me our food was not the lady who took the order, but I showed the young lady the receipt and my text and asked her did they charge for using debit cards , because I know businesses do that sometimes. She told me no they didn't and asked the lady who took our order about the difference. Well here's where THIS transaction goes south.
The lady who took our order looks frustrated and starts stuttering. She goes to print something that showed that day's transactions. I saw my card and the original amount on the receipt given to me ..BUT I having restaurant experience know that THERE'S MULTIPLE reports you can print..she didn't print the TIP REPORT! BUT IT WAS THE BLATANT LIE TO MY FACE! SHE TOOK A $6 TIP!! And 3 other customers who were served with me said the same thing happened to them!! One guy was $4!!
Am I mad about $6? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! BUT I AM MAD THAT SHE LIED ABOUT TAKING THE $6 WHEN SHE OBVIOUSLY DID!! All she had to say was YES, WE CHARGE TIP!But the owner i believe, Chen looked me straight in my face, and told me it's my bank doing it.
People are out here working hard and what happened to us is STEALING, when you take something a person doesn't know you're taking and then LIE about it when confronted! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and the food was mediocre.
Check your receipts and compare it with your bank statements when using cards at this place. You may be getting charged and...
Read moreI have been getting food from here for about 5 years. I started out ordering from them once a week. They have never been very friendly people. I used to order chicken lo mein, then I started getting lot less and smaller pieces of chicken. Then I switched to beef lo mein. I got quite a bit of nice tender juicy beef. The last time, 6, I mean just 6 pieces of beef. I haven't ordered from them in 3 months after that, though i am at Food Lion seceral times a week. And ordering out in a treat for me. Yesterday, 3 of us went. The prices have gone up. $15 for a small beef lo mein and 2 spring rolls? The beef is cut smaller than the noodles, into small, tough, stringy pieces. I know it is a business, high overhead and operating costs. But what happened to good value for the money we pay? If you have the money to waste, fine for you. I don't. If anything I may order just a vegetable lo mein, though I don't hold out much hope for that, as there was hardly any vegetables in the chicken or beef I have been ordering. So sorry their servings have gotten so disappointing, but prices have gone up. What a shame, not a good value...
Read moreWanted some chineese food and looked up some places on our way through town, this place had decent reviews....I have no idea why!! spent 40 bucks on a Sesame Chicken, Crab Ragoons, Chicken Lo Mein, and one extra eggroll. It was all a huge mistake! The Sesame Chicken was way to sweet, the pork fried rice had big chunks of uncooked pork fat in it the Chicken Lo Mein had good flavor but the noodles were so over cooked it was the texture of mashed potatoes in your mouth. The crab Ragoons were chewy not crispy and full of a very runny filling the flavor was good but over all they were bad. The eggrolls were again soft and kinda chewy not crispy and full of some off tasting mushy filling that had an oddly cinnamon like taste, the three of us that tried them all thought so. I was highly disappointed especially for the price. Don't waste your time...
