This bar would have gotten a 5/5 stars as the people were extremely friendly to me and I had many a great conversation with good folks. However, I was having an issue paying with my phone, as I needed the bars wifi password, I was told the managers and the employees don’t have it (if you have a WiFi network with your business name attached to it people are going to assume you have enough diligence to know your own WiFi password, as well as sharing with customers), I even showed that I had the funds on my Apple wallet but I could not use it without internet. Well this nice man next to me bought me some beer and I was feeling pretty good and was there for a few hours… Now, not remembering the WiFi situation because it was hours earlier and I was intoxicated at that point, I asked kindly how much I owed and asked again for the WiFi because I had half in change and she went off on me and told me at least she “pays her phone bill and doesn’t have to worry about issues like that” and “why would you come inside here if you could not pay for your drinks”, I politely told her I COULD pay the TWO DOLLARS left that I owed and all I need is the WiFi password and she made me feel extremely embarrassed in front of her local friends. She told me never to come back, I tried calling the bar to pay once I got home and she yelled at me over the phone and said she wasn’t going to deal with a two dollar bill and a WiFi password, which is ironic to me because at the time she made it into the biggest deal in the world. If you are going to have WiFi displayed at your business, have common sense to know the password. I wasn’t born yesterday, the password is located on the router and if it was changed that means someone DOES know it, contradicting the rude bartenders claims that no one knows it. I felt extremely belittled by someone I do not know and at this point,...
Read moreThis is a local hole in the wall bar and grill. It is right next to the CSX tracks. Trains pass pretty close to the building. The inside is pretty average, beer signs on the walls and a pool table near the back of the bar. The bar seats around twelve or so.
We sat at the bar. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. Service was good today. They have around a dozen beers in bottles, mostly domestics, and a few can selections. They also have a full selection of liquor.
Today's special were burgers for $5 bucks. You just can not beat that price. This was a half pound patty loaded with onion, lettuce, and pickle. It was juicy and good. I had it with Memphis slaw. This is a vinegar based slaw with a bit of a pepper bite. It was also very good. Drinks, sides, and burgers for two, and under $20. Great...
Read moreLet me first begin with saying the idea of this place and the food is good. The owner was kind. I got here at open and I understand there is server duties that need to be done but after opening the server made almost everyone feel like we were bothering her. I was afraid to ask her for anything because anytime I needed something she made me look stupid in front of the whole bar. I biked here and was thirsty and hungry. My bike broke down. I needed someone to chill while I figured out a ride. Just all around kinda awkward. I’d def go again but they need to step up the hospitality. She only gave attention to men who were clearly daily regulars. New customers are important as well. You can do better rusty railz! Such a neat little spot to have...
