EDIT: from one year ago... The food no longer looks like this :( we bought a breakfast burrito which was still ice cold in the center and the breakfast sandwich was flat, spongey and totally flavorless.

Both tasted like they could have came from a gas station (at least Kwik Trip would have been hot) - I do not like leaving poor reviews for local businesses but our early morning commute left nothing to be desired and only disappointed and still hungry. I truly hope the owners see this - the staff were very friendly with great customer service which was the only pleasant part of this experience

I was so happy a year ago - what happened to the food quality!?

Stopped in for Chili, by-the-way, is always a good choice; however, the breadsticks that come with it are hard as a rock and are definitely inedible. I sometimes will not even order them, but will occasionally give them another chance and they are always like bricks. I feel like a step is being missed when preparing them or they are just old. Since the renovation of the Warming House, it doesn't seem as inviting and 'warm' as it did before the renovation. The ice-cream selection has gone down hill which is a bummer because that's what I remember the most as a young child, the selection of ice-cream was amazing! This is going back to when you used to get your ice-cream from outside. I'm also a huge chai fan. It's hit or miss. It's more on the luke warm side, than hot which is nicer during the...

A small, intimate, personal coffee shop that serves up great deserts.

The warming house was born as an extension of the Gordy's Hi-Hat restaurant - a mainstay for locals looking for great burgers. While great burgers and fries/onion rings seem to be a great food for the summer, the Hi-Hat also served some killer shakes. The problem: I always wanted one year round!

Lucky for those that live in the area - Gordy's decided to open the Warming House and create a fantastic little coffee shop stocking delicious deserts, fresh made ice cream, piping hot coffee, and the best shakes around.

Couple that with the free wi-fi and you could set me down there all day. This addition to Cloquet is definitely welcome, and offers a perfect place to kick back, relax, and smell...

This is a great place to get coffee on your way to work or road trip with being open at 6:00 am during the week. If coffee is not your thing, they have plenty of ice cream options. If you're hungry, they have some breakfast options, or you can try some of their famous chili. This is a great place to bring children. There is a playground the kids can play at, and there's a dog park for your furry kids. They also offer free wifi, which makes it a good spot for students to meet up for projects or just to study together. Just keep in mind during the summer months when gordys Hi hat is open, the parking lot and traffic can be a lot.

It's my home away from home. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there's always great music playing in the background. Customers are family-friendly, and the staff are upbeat and provide great customer service. Best ice-cream selection around, along with a slew of delicious soups, salads and scones (a few of my favorites at least.) And of course, a selection of, hot and cold, coffee and tea to meet your every need (well almost...) Great place to write, read, work on homework, or meet up with an old friend. Yes, this place I highly recommend.
