Zini's Diner — Restaurant in Cloverdale

My grandmother ordered a breakfast combo. The combo came with 1 egg, pancakes & two sausage links. She wanted 2 eggs, so we ordered an additional egg to add to her combo. I ordered eggs on the side of my breakfast as well. When we received our order it was very clear my grandmother only had 1 scrambled egg on her plate. When I informed the waitress that they had forgotten 1 of my grandmothers eggs, the waitress said, "I'll check with the cooks". When she returned, she told us the cook had cooked my eggs with my grandmothers eggs & they probably just put more eggs on my plate then hers. WHAT? My grandmother didn't want me to say anything, so I didn't. Did we get charged for the egg she clearly did not receive? You bet! Dishonest cook & unhelpful waitress, not worth my time or money to return. Side note, the Pancakes here are...

We were on vacation from Florida heading up the coast of California and Oregon. We stopped by Zini's to eat breakfast. My husband had a head cold and didn't feel good . Our waitress noticed and brought him some cold medicine that she had. She was so nice to offer since we didn't have anything for him. She also gave us a good tip on a road that was more scenic and took us through the Redwoods. Great suggestion because it was a stunning drive. The food was delicious and the service was superb. 8-3-22 Update! I made a few phone calls to some Cloverdale locals, and Zini's has a new American flag. Thank you!

Really good food, great servers. It's a shame that they display a frayed, torn American flag out front, and don't seem to care. When I mentioned the condition of the flag to my server recently, the server said the owners have been told several times that there have been comments about the poor condition of the flag, but nothing has been done. If you're going to fly the American flag you should commit to the basic requirements of maintaining it....
