First time customer--disappointed. Went for breakfast this morning. Asked our waitress for the least expensive way to get French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. She pointed out a breakfast and said I could substitute French toast for the biscuit and gravy. I said, great!! Except for when the bill came with a $2.50 upcharge for my French toast!!! I pointed this out to our waitress, that I was not advised there would be an upcharge. She looked bewildered and said that was how it was. She ended up going to a manager who was no help, so I asked to speak to the manager and the waitress grabbed the ticket and walked away in a huff. She brought it back and just tossed it on the table. She had deleted my entire meal. While that was kind and way more than I had requested, her angry demeanor was such a change from the nice person she was initially taking our order. So, Cooks, you have lost 2 customers over your staffs handling of a $2.50 upcharge you could have easily deleted. Your staffs angry response was completely uncalled for. I had hoped to add your restaurant to my regular diners, but sadly I will not return. I won't say the waitresses name but her first initial is E. We really liked you and your service until...

Very clean......the waitress Adriana is an angel here on earth.....she takes her job of taking care of the customer a top priority ..we witnessed that....the five stars are mostly for her......the breakfast was ok.. filling.....i think the bacon was deep fried cuz i could only taste bacon fat and not the smokiness of bacon at all....i gave it to my bf.....my scrambled eggs were more of a fried egg over done and chopped into pieces verses puffy fluffy so didn't eat them and the sausage seemed like precooked reheated patties but i ate one piece and gave away the other....the gravy for the biscuit was super thick like paste couldn't eat that either... We were on a schedule and didn't want to wait for any thing else so i actually had to drive thru wendys later down the road..still hungry.....i really only ate my hashbrowns which WERE perfect..... My bf liked his whole breakfast of eggs over medium,, ham and bacon with sourdough toast along with some of my bacon n sausage and he said the coffee was perfect.....we would try it again but order something different....just cuz Adriana made it so fun...GOOD KID...hard...

STOP HERE! :)) It is next to a Love’s truck stop - don’t let the location fool you - this is amazing food. Ruby serving at the table, and her sister at the cash register - you will leave here full, with a bag o’ amazing leftovers, after having the most wholesome and love-prepared n served meal. Something for everyone! We had breakfast pancakes, chicken strip meal, and a grilled chicken sandwich. We were able to order extra bacon. There were so many sides with the strips (green beans, salad, fries, biscuit n gravy n honey, AND cake ((Sundays only)), and the grilled chicken had two patties with savory pickles! Service was First Rate - asked how we wanted our water and instead of cold from the tap, warmed it for us to room temp (we prefer no ice - too cold in the gums) - care and attention to detail for even water from the smallest thing on the table on up to the meals and beyond. I wish we lived closer - we would eat at Cook’s any chance we could get! Don’t miss these high quality people’s hospitality!...
