This place is all about the great food and friendly Coalmont service. My husband and I stopped here for a lunch after a rainy walk on the Mountain Goat Trail. He had a Philly cheesesteak quesadilla. Totally warming. I’m vegetarian and had a Texas Toast with Swiss, mushrooms and peppers and onions. Perfect. The meal began with fried pickles. Had to bring home half of those or there would not have been room for my Texas toast. Absolutely lovely experience. The food was delicious, the service was perfect. The owners are so friendly! Our Scout Troop stopped for dinner on our way to summer camp. I let them know we were coming the week before, as we had 12 people. They were ready for us and extremely accomodating. All the Scouts (ages 11-17) enjoyed the food and atmosphere, as did the adults! Stopped in here yesterday. Place was open. Food, service was excellent. Place was a little warm, but afternoon sun was on building. First time I have had pulled pork in a long time where the meat was juicy and tender. Most places it is dry and tough and they cover it with barbecue sauce to hide the dry meat.
