My wife and I visited for a dine in meal on 9/6/24. We are both glad we gave Taco Mextizo a try. You have to get by the first impressions... Location is in more of an office/industrial complex but there's plenty of parking. Storefront and restaurant are small but sign on the building is large enough to clearly mark the location from the road. Inside there are 4 booths and 2 tables (if I remember correctly). There were no other people dining inside but there were people waiting on carry-out orders. The restaurant is VERY CLEAN as was the restroom. Booths were comfortable but the atmosphere is more of a lunch place. It's very brightly lit and it feels more like a situation where you just want to eat and leave as if you have some place you need to go. This has NOTHING to do with the service. The service was great. Because of the small size of the facility, our waitress didn't have to stand over our table but we could get her attention very easily even with a low voice level. And... She was on everything quickly and correctly. We ordered chips, salsa, 2 side of pico de gallo (we like to mix into our salsa) and queso. Chips and salsa do not come free but all of the above was extremely affordable. I think is was $6.50 for all of it. Everything was fresh and wonderful. The queso had great flavor which isn't the case everywhere. My wife had the street tacos (1 chicken & 1 carne asada) and a side of beans (black) and rice a house margarita and a bottle of water. They do offer refried beans if you prefer them. I had the carne asada burrito with extra cheese and a house margarita. Dinner was REALLY, REALLY GOOD. The food was fresh and had wonderful flavors. A bit of spice but not too much. The black beans were very tasty and the rice was moist and well seasoned. The margaritas were a bit of the let down. They tasted like they had no alcohol/tequila flavor in them and it was more of just mix flavor. I mentioned it to our waitress and she offered to make us new drinks but we passed on it. I did end up ordering a draft Modello beer to wash my meal down with. We shared a HUGE PIECE OF TRES LECHES CAKE. It was more than large enough for 2 people and it was super tasty. For us, we agreed it was a 9 out of 10. The food, service and cleanliness were the most positive factors. The ambiance for a dine in experience and the not-so-good margaritas took things down from being 10/10. While we wouldn't order the margaritas again, WE WILL BE BACK. This is our new local "GO-TO" MEXICAN JOINT. But we may do carry...
Read moreNice little local restaurant. Good food, great service. I had the birria tacos. The seasoning was good. I'd prefer something juicier like Bravo Taco in Titusville. My oldest son also had the birria tacos and said preferred them to Bravo Taco, so it's really a personal preference. My wife had the Mar tacos with fish. She said hers was a little fishier tasting than she liked. My kids had the gringo tacos. They were fine. The crunchy tacos could have used a little more crunch, and the ground beef was quite greasy. I'll go back again. It's conveniently located for me, and while the food wasn't perfect, it's worth giving it another go.
Not unique to this place by any means, but they try to guilt you into tipping for takeout orders. I think tipping culture has gone crazy. Resist!...
Read moreLet me just say, if I didn’t live 3 hours away, I would definitely be spending way too much money on horchata! My first sip in and I was already thanking God. They do not make Horchata like this everywhere, you locals enjoy and savor it!!! The food was delicious and came out with perfect timing, granted we were the only ones in the restaurant Anita gave us the ultimate dining experience. From her hilarious honesty about our picky food choices to providing & serving our food with love. It felt like we were with family. The atmosphere was such a breath of fresh air. There’s always something to love about real authentic Mexican restaurants and food trucks, but this spot literally takes the cherry on top. I will absolutely be...
