Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

We came in to order a to go order for two and asked to be seated at the bar so we could order a drink while we waited. The moment we sat down the server asked if we where ready to order literally less than a minute after we even got the menu.we told her we would need a minute. We mention to the bartender that we were going to like a to order a drink in just a moment. Also told the bartender that we would like to order a soda asked if they had dr. pepper she said no we only have Pepsi products when asked if there was mr. Pibb which we mistakened and thought was a Pepsi product got a very rude no we don't sold anything but Pepsi products so we asked for a root beer not once did the bartender smile the whole time we were there. Acted like we were all huge inconvenience to her did not turn around and asked if I was ready to get my drink which I told her I would like to be getting in a minute when I first sat down. Inside sat with her back turned towards me having a conversation with another customer. And then receded and served another customer on the other side of the bar before I finally mentioned to her that I would like to get my drink still. When I asked her if the root beer would be ordered to go from her she said no all of your drinks will be ordered from the server is taking your food order. We weren't 100% sure. I also had to get my order from our to go waitress corrected because I wanted sauteed onions and mushrooms and a Topper on my steak I told her that in the beginning but she only wrote down the topper so when I got my receipt I had to remind her that I needed that. We were very rushed to make her order like we were an inconvenience to be there and they just wanted to get us out of there as quick as possible. She took our food order and before we even had a chance to let her know that we wanted drinks or anything else she wrote down what we wanted and went and rang in our order and brought us our receipt so then we had to order and get a new receipt because we also wanted drinks but they only wanted to give us three seconds of their time instead of taking the time to make sure that we bought everything that we wanted on the order the first time. I used to be a waitress so I know how customers should be treated and my fiance used to run a restaurant so we understand that things can get hectic and things can be rushed but the restaurant was very slow and we felt like we were very unwanted there needless to say I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon if ever. But on a positive note the food does look fabulous. Let that be known that that is the only good part of my experience the service was horrible everybody looks like they were so miserable again will not be coming to this...

We had a great experience at Applebee's on Hanley in CDA! We had a friendly greeting as soon as we walked through the door and we were seated right away. Our server, Leah, was very friendly, she got our order right away and brought us our drinks. We didn't have to ask or wait for a refill, that's something that I really appreciate personally. We got the all you can eat riblets, breaded shrimp, boneless wings and fries, which came with coleslaw. The riblets have 2 sauce options a honey BBQ and a sweet asian chilie sauce, I got the honey BBQ but I think next time I will actually get the sweet asian chilie. The boneless wings have 6 sauce options, classic buffalo, garlic parmesan, honey BBQ, sweet asian chilie, honey pepper and extra hot buffalo. Unfortunately I didn't look at the menu so didn't realize there were so many sauce options and I got classic buffalo, effigy was more salty than flavorful and I could only eat a couple before ditching them. I also got the breaded shrimp, which I forgot to take a picture of because it was so good I ate it, probably, way too fast and in my opinion, the shrimp stole the show! The fries were typical, nothing special about them and actually were not very hot or fresh, which was a disappointment because I'm a potato person! The coleslaw I couldn't eat, it had cilantro in it and in my personal opinion feel like there's no place for cilantro in coleslaw, and honestly, I would've liked a good coleslaw with my meal, with the riblets especially! The soda was good, I got a Pepsi and it was well carbonated! For the price it was definitely worth it, I want to go back and try the different sauces, and get more of that shrimp for sure! The ambience was nice, I loved the amber lighting and the booths were very comfortable! If the fries were hotter and if the cilantro wasn't an element in the coleslaw, I would give the food 5 stars, and overall the experience 5 stars, even if the fries were hot and fresh it would get a 5 start review from me, but because of those 2 things I will say overall it was a 4 star...

Previous delivery has been fine, up until recently...Friday, Sept 18 ordered diner for delivery: Crispy Chicken Salad, Classic Burger WITH fries, and mozzarella sticks. The salad arrived as if it had been dropped and the burger had NO fries. Upon calling Applebee's on Hanley, Coeur d'Alene, my options were that they could remake fries and I could drive there to get them or they would issue a gift certificate to remedy the issue. Had we wanted to drive to the restaurant, food would not have been ordered for delivery. So, I opt for 'certificate', upon speaking with whom I was told was a 'Manager' named Alex, and was given an excuse of "we've been really busy right now for Friday dinner" I was then told he would give my information to his 'Manager' who would contact me with gift certificate information to make up for the delivery error. It is now Wednesday, and I have had no response. Definitely not great customer service! Granted, a burger with fries is only $3 more than the burger alone, but it is the point!! And considerably poor customer service!! I understand Applebee's does not have their own delivery drivers, so I gave the delivery service a bad review as well. Applebee's should be more responsive to complaints and much more responsible for assuring that delivery/delivered orders are ACCURATE prior to sending food out the door with a delivery driver whether employed directly by the restaurant or not! Highly disappointed with this experience with Applebee's, unsure at this point if we will either visit or order delivery from this restaurant again...we have so many other options, it is too bad this restaurant is...
