I've been getting food from here for awhile, and while the food is good (usually) the prices have skyrocketed recently (What I usually order used to be about $11.00, now it's over $15.00) but the dubious quality, service, and fluctuating portion size has stayed the same, sometimes my food is Lukewarm (I usually get two Bean and Cheese Burritos and the Cheese sometimes isn't even melted inside with barely warm Beans.) and the "Giant Burritos" are sometimes smaller than usual for some reason also the Tater Tots are sometimes very hard and cold, and on the other end of the scale have a consistency like Hash Browns (I prefer them inbetween). I could tolerate all that in the past, but not anymore with these prices. So instead of going there personally and waiting inside for awhile I decided to start ordering from them for Delivery (because I still like their food when it's made properly.), which I have found to be less than stellar as they aren't always accepting orders and just now what prompted me to finally write this review is after waiting about twenty minutes after making an Order my Delivery Driver said that they didn't have the order and it was canceled for some reason (On a Monday at 4:30 PM? Guess I'm getting Pizza Hutt tonight!). I guess I'll be getting a lot more Taco Bell from now on. Other problems with them that I will highlight is that they usually only have one person on the Register for both the people Dining in and the Drive Thru even when they are very busy, so there is sometimes a long line of people who will be ignored for quite awhile while the lone overworked employee is trying to keep up with everything, so you can expect a long wait if they are even a little busy. If you go through the Drive thru it can be even longer with waiting times upwards of thirty minutes or more (Even if there are only a couple of people in the Drive thru it can take a looong time!) I used to use the Drive thru myself, but usually I got something completely different than what I ordered which made me only do Carryout for a long time. What doesn't help is that the person taking orders usually is someone with english as a second language which can cause even more problems especially with the Ancient Speaker thing they use for the drive thru. The place can also be pretty unsanitary I remember seeing a nasty mess of spilled sauce caked onto the front of their Trashcan that hadn't been cleaned for about a week (I used to go here like twice a week.) and their Soda machine often has strange tasting Soda for whatever reason (sometimes I think it was mostly Syrup with no carbonation for the Cherry Pepsi.) also many MANY times they were completely out of their (Medium Sized) "Large Drinks" which got kind of old. Anyways I'll probably still try to order from them once in awhile (If they haven't fixed their problems by now I doubt they ever will.), since I like the Food when it's done properly, but I'll be thinking twice about it...

Food is actually pretty tasty here, about as good as you're going to get in Northern Idaho at a fast food Mexican restaurant. I'm born and raised in the Los Angeles area and lived in San Diego where they say they're from. Places like this are apart of growing up in southern California. The problem here is the customer experience is terrible. I've eaten here at 6:30am and 6:30pm and it's always the same. You will wait forever at the counter to order. The staff will not even acknowledge you. Sometimes a line will develop and people will walk out because things are taking so long. If you have any special requests like no beans, or add pico de gallo they'll say "ok, no problem amigo" but when you get home you'll find they basically ignored anything you asked them to do. You're also going to be paying San Diego prices here. Most combos are well over $10 and a side of pico de gallo cost a dollar. A dollar for a tiny cup of tomato, onion, cilantro, lime, and some salt. Most places where I'm from offer a variety salsas, chili's, and pickles as part of the meal. Similar to how they do in Mexico. You're going to pay for most add ons here. The staff often seems confused and disorganized here. They really need a manager or shift leader to quarterback things serving as a liaison between the kitchen and the customers. Usually the person working the register does this but are often so overwhelmed that it hurts the customer experience. This ultimately it comes down to ownership, I don't know if the owners have just tossed in the towel on this place but I feel if they made some very fixable adjustments this place could be...

This is one of those places that have the potential to be great but just isn't. Having dined at the restaurant when it was in San Diego I expected the service and food to be just as good. Now don't think I expect fine dining this is a fast food hole in the wall type of place. The food is some of the best Mexican food you can find in North Idaho however the service is ridiculous. Mainly because of one employee. She consistently messes up orders and tried to overcharge to cover her mistakes. Below I've added her picture so you know who she is. Instead of charging $8 on the menu the charged $12 and tried to say I ordered something that wasn't what I ordered. I don't think she expected me to push back but considering I had 2 other people with me who heard exactly what was ordered and I have ordered it before I wasn't going to let her do that. There is literally only one thing I order and It's the same everytime. When I asked why it was $4 dollars me she said it was because it had sour cream. Well since I don't eat sour cream why would I have ordered something with it. I think the best line of the night was when she told me she works hard all night and I replied with that's nice but the order is still wrong. Sometimes you get the worst service when you high family. Good thing is I got my refund and am able to go someplace bad thing is she is one of those employees that won't change because "family"

So in closing if you go here just make sure to order from any other person behind the counter, ask for the receipt and make sure you get what you ordered or even better go down to Las Chavelas on...

Unordered Extras and Missing Ingredients I used to love this place! It was my go to. I recently ordered Chile rellenos enchiladas and fajita meat from Uber Eats. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The Chile rellenos enchiladas one was overstuffed with cheese and had stems and seeds left intact, which was a major disappointment. To make matters worse, one of the enchiladas was completely missing the Chile relleno itself! The fajita meat was an even bigger letdown. Instead of the expected tender, marinated strips, it was chopped up like street taco meat and served dry, without any sauce or seasoning outside your typical street taco meat. There were barely any peppers or onions, and the meat was smothered in guacamole and sour cream, which were not listed on the menu description and were not requested. As someone with food sensitivities to steak, I had to throw away the entire dish due to their misrepresentation. I normally love their beans but they had an off flavor this evening as well, maybe it was the taste of disappointment with the rest of the food. It's incredibly frustrating when a restaurant takes liberties with your order without your consent. It's especially concerning when these changes can have serious health consequences. I hope that Uber Eats will take steps to address this issue and ensure that restaurants are adhering to customer specifications. If you are unsure of condiments, best safe to always put them on the side.
